Christmas Eve Outfit

   Happy weekend-after-Christmas friends! I hope that you've all had a beauteous week. After such a momentous occasion, it of course follows that the fashion bloggers are rolling up their sleeves (J. Crew style ;) and getting down to business on outfit posts!

   On Christmas Eve, my parents and I spent time with Dad's family at my aunt's home. I ended up with a slightly "glam" look that night. My new red dress was a sweet birthday dress from a friend. I really like how the color is festive, but not too bright. I wore the dress over (faded) dark wash jeans for modesty and added a shiny black belt. Red wedge sandals were my shoe choice for the evening - I don't have very many things that go with them so it was exciting to finally have a color match!

Outfit Details: Dress ~ Gift; Jeans ~ Consignment store; Shoes ~ Kohl's?; Belt ~ Thrifted

   You may have noticed that for the first time in a long while, my photos were taken indoors! You get to see our dripping window and gift-stuffed stockings, since the weather that day made it necessary to get creative with photo shoot backgrounds. Here on the coast, our Christmas was wet rather than white, with rain pouring and gusts of wind whipping the trees. Technically it was only a wet Christmas Eve though, as the actual holiday dawned bright and sunny. We got the best of both worlds this year I suppose. :)

How was the weather in your neck of the woods? Did you have a White Christmas?

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

  1. I love that outfit! I like to wear short dresses with jeans like that too.

    We actually did end up with a white Christmas, and had a lovely little snowfall Christmas day. And it kept coming too, but it gave our dad a chance to try out his new snowsuit when he blew the drive way out. :)
