Sunday Best and All the Rest

          Happy weekend one and all! I hope you're enjoying this last day of May....wait...tomorrow is June?! Summer is just a few weeks away. It's time to break out the sunscreen, frisbees and nautical inspired clothes! Yup, summer is the perfect time to wear stripes, patriotic colors and whatever else floats your boat (pardon the pun).

  Good afternoon, dear readers. Life is crazy! Lately, it has been full of the fun, the mundane, the usual, the unusual, and of course, the awkward and awesome! Today I get to recoup a bit, and have the chance to blog. Yay! So, please join me as I recap this week and share what I wore to church last Sunday.

  Greetings, all! Today I am going to do something different with my Saturday post. For a while now, I've had the idea of writing an essay on modesty kicking around in my head. This weekend ended up being the time to do it! May what I wrote speak to you and encourage you in the Lord. :) Why Modesty?

    Readers, I think that this is going to end up being a two post week. :) Not only was I quite busy and wanting a brief break from blogging earlier this week, but I had run out of material! I think it's time for some more photo shoots and brainstorming on my part. In any case, I'm here now to share with you this week's awkward and awesome moments and show you my latest thrift store treasure!

     Greetings, fair ladies! We're about to dust off our time machine and study another era of fashion history. This time, we shall completely leave the modern era as we explore the middle ages. This is one of my favorite eras in history, and I hope that by the time we're done, you'll be as excited about it as I am! The Middle Ages  

 It's already Wednesday again, everyone! Writing and reading blog posts certainly helps to pass the time when one is down with a cold. Anyone else out there fighting a case of the sniffles? Staying home means that life can be, well, uneventful, but I still came up with a few awkward and awesome moments to share!

  

    Hello, my dear readers! Guess what? It's time for me to post The Beautiful Blog Award! Thanks for nominating me, Ireland (see her blog, Ireland Rhea, here if you haven't already). The rules are pretty much the same as other awards:

     Hi everybody! Awkward and Awesome has returned from its brief hiatus. As it turns out, most of my awkward are things that I wrote down for last week and didn't end up using. It all works out in the end though, because this week I didn't bother writing stuff down. ;)

         It's Monday. It's the day that greets us with obligations that we have little motivation for. Again? we ask ourselves. The weekend was too short. We sometimes need a little extra encouragement on days like these. Here are my suggestions for you to gain some cheer this Monday: 1) Read Romans 8, Psalm 91, Psalm 23, or find another uplifting passage of scripture, even if it's just one verse. 2) Eat some chocolate...or potato chips...or whatever else floats your boat. 3) Remember that Jesus still loves you, no matter what circumstances you're in, and wants to hear from you about whatever you're struggling with, whether it's large or small (if you're reading this and don't have a relationship with Him yet, let me know if you want to know how to start one!). 4) Scroll down and see what I wore to cheer myself last Monday. If nothing else, it might inspire you to get out the ol' lipstick. ;)
