Sunday Best and All the Rest

  Hi readers! It's been a while again, hasn't it? Life has been extremely busy for me lately and blogging has been one of the things placed on the back burner. That doesn't mean I don't think about the blog often. Happily, earlier this week Mom and I got a chance to get out for a quick photo shoot!

   Happy New Year, readers! It's 2018 and what do you know, there is now a generation of legal adults who weren't born in the 20th century. If that isn't enough to make you think, this November will mark 100 years since World War I ended. And 1,000 years ago, history was in the beginning of the medieval era. Are you tired of the trivia now? Let's get back to the simple things in life, clothes specifically. ;)

   Hi all! It's been a couple of weeks, hasn't it? I hope that you have been enjoying a lovely October. I don't know about you, but I seem to know of quite a few birthdays in this part of the month! Last night I dressed up in some eighties duds to help a friend celebrate her 30th birthday...retro-style!

   Hello, readers! I hope you are having a restful Sunday before starting the week's duties once again. I managed to fit in a wee bit of napping, which was most definitely to my taste after a busy week and Saturday! Tomorrow it's off to work again and I want to be refreshed and ready to go. :)

    How do you do folks? Christmas has come and gone again, and proved to be a good holiday for my family and I. We enjoyed time with family on Christmas Eve and fellowship with dear friends on the holiday proper, as well as times with just the three (four, counting Copper ;) of us.

   Hello all! It's October! Can you believe it? When we were doing this photo shoot today it was cold and windy enough to really seem like fall. If I had been out there much longer, I would have wanted a jacket. ;)

   Good evening, folks! I am returned from a three-day weekend getaway that included photography, fresh air, good eats, shopping and - can you guess? - buying clothes! Of course, the little vacation also had to include some outfit shots. Fashion bloggers are (almost) always ready!

   Hello and happy Saturday dear readers! The week is winding to a close yet again. It's been a week of work and volunteering, relaxing at home with a cold, saying a goodbye, buying a new lip color, and sunshine with friends and family. What have you been up to?

Hi, I'm Paige's friend Rebekah. Upon Paige's request, I'd like to share a couple outfits with you. These outfits really make me think of autumn, and even winter. They have a warm look, and work well for any lady, really. <3 Enjoy! I love this outfit because it has a "fallish" look. I chose to do darker jeans, but I've found that a lighter wash works just as well. The leather jacket is warm, but stylish.   The day has finally come! I'm publishing the 100th post of Sunday Best and All the Rest! *cue confetti*  I could talk about all the hard work and dedication I put in to get to this point, but it was really more like a lot of fun and, yes, some frustration ("Why won't this picture fit!?" "I've been sitting here for ages...").   Also, I would have baked you cookies, but they are a bit difficult to share over the internet.           Happy weekend one and all! I hope you're enjoying this last day of May....wait...tomorrow is June?! Summer is just a few weeks away. It's time to break out the sunscreen, frisbees and nautical inspired clothes! Yup, summer is the perfect time to wear stripes, patriotic colors and whatever else floats your boat (pardon the pun).

   Hello all! Our tour through 20th century fashion comes to a close with the decade we are looking into today. However, the series itself has certainly not met its end! From now on we will be digging deeper into history, imitating the looks of earlier centuries. I won't get ahead of myself though - first we must peer into the styles of that wacky decade known as the 70's! 1970's    

   I feel as if it's been a long time since I did an outfit post! Now I'm ready to remedy the situation. ;) Today's outfit was worn hiking this weekend, and is probably the most casual thing I've posted here thus far. Of course, I find it impossible not to strive for a level of cuteness, even on those (rare) days when I wear jeans and a t-shirt.    My Mom wanted to go hiking on a local trail for her birthday, so our family of three and several friends set out after lunch this Sunday afternoon. The trail overlooks the vast Pacific ocean, and the clear day offered spectacular views. Our afternoon was lovely as we enjoyed exercise in the fresh air and the fellowship of friends.

   Happy New Year!    After last week's Christmas post, I decided to take a short break from blogging. As it turns out, that was a good idea, since I found myself a bit busy! However, now I'm back on board and ready to share today's outfit with you! Yes, it's technically time for a topic post, but I neglected to plan in advance. ;)    My last few outfits have been on the dressier side, so here's one of my more casual options. This afternoon I wore it when I went with my mom to clean house for an older lady friend that we work for; No, I'm not a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. ;)          I usually prefer to sport loose tops when wearing pants, so today I put on this bright pink sweater. I like the cable detailing on the front as well as the folded shawl-collar (at least, that's what I'm calling it...let me know if there's another name for it).    In case you haven't noticed (which you probably didn't, since I often have trouble getting more than one post out per week ;) ), my weekly blogging goal is to do one outfit post and one topic post each week. This is my outfit post for the week, but it includes another topic as well. The latter is something that I wish didn't have to be here, but frankly, I'm desperate for some answers! Blogger has been acting rather peculiar lately, as well as the internet in general. That being said, let's start out with the fun stuff... ...such as this outfit! Monday was a day of running a couple of errands and relaxing at home. Even though I was wearing comfy jeans, Converse, and a long-sleeved knit t-shirt, the outfit was dressed up a little bit with the jacket I purchased during last month's thrift store expedition .
