Outfit|| Coastal Safari
Hello, readers! I hope you are having a restful Sunday before starting the week's duties once again. I managed to fit in a wee bit of napping, which was most definitely to my taste after a busy week and Saturday! Tomorrow it's off to work again and I want to be refreshed and ready to go. :)
This printed dolman top is not my typical style, but it was time to change my closet up a bit. The mint color is right up my alley and the Indian-style elephant print is cute without feeling weird or tacky. It has a high-low cut, which made it more modest to pair with jeans when I went out adventuring on Memorial Day. I accessorized my outfit that day with a silver chain and pendants and shod myself with well-worn purple sneakers. And what do you know...I ended up matching the coast (Well, minus the purple) ;)!
On Memorial Day we had a mother/daughter/friend day while Dad was at work, venturing out with some snacks and a camera. First, we visited a cemetery, full of flags honoring the veterans buried there. Next, we stopped for fish and chips before heading to the look-out point where the photos are taken. Finally, we spent some time on the beach, soaking up the rays. It was a lovely day, and I hope to soon share some more of the images I captured. :)
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap;
He lays up the deep in storehouses.
Psalm 33:6-7
Well I love your scenery. You really captured beauty of God's gifts to us. Pretty cool how your mint color matches the coast. I would say your trip looked relaxing and rejuvenating. Hope your work week is calm and rewarding. Stephanie
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! It was definitely a great day, just what I needed. :) Thanks and the same to you!
DeletePaige, these photos are stunning and I love your outfit! I have been longing for some Indian style elephant-detailed blouses for a while now. Your top is so cute and it suits you perfectly. :)

Thanks muchly! :D Oops, I forgot to put outfit details, but I found mine at Ross and I feel like there were more Indian style designs there. :) I like this, because it looks exotic without any bizarre religious elements.
DeleteGreat shots - that last picture is really breath-taking! Have you thought about creating an Instagram account for your photography? I'd be your first follower... ;D
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Aw, that's sweet. I haven't looked into IG much, actually. Can I do it from my computer?
DeleteYes! Before I had an iPhone, I created my account using my friend's phone, and then I signed into the desktop site to look at my feed, follow, like, etc. (although you need the Windows program "Instapic" to actually post from a computer, which is what I did). I see a lot of bloggers using it mostly to kind of promote their blog, but it's also such a quick, casual platform for a photography hobby :-))
