Sunday Best and All the Rest

   Happy July, my sweet friends! I hope that you are having a lovely summer thus far. The days of outdoor adventures and backyard barbecues have wrapped my season in a social whirl. Today, I would like to share with you a coastal summer outfit (meaning it's meant for not-actually-hot weather  ;) ) and along with a few thoughts on Psalm 43.

   Good evening, readers! How have you been since we last "met"? I was able to enjoy a long weekend with my parents, taking a mini-vacation that ended yesterday afternoon. Hopefully, you will see some of the many photos I took in the next blog post or two. For now, here's a mid-week outfit for you!

   Well ladies, I have a special treat for you today! No, I'm not getting married or taking my final vows to become a nun...;). Instead, I had the privilege of modeling a beautiful vintage bridal gown. Some time ago, friends of mine came across this dress and thought of me and my blog. They were sweet enough to pass it along to me, and after a shamefully long wait, I am sharing the lovely gown with you!

   Pardon the pun, dear readers. I've been in a pun-making mood today and decided to consolidate the key words of my post into a ridiculous hybrid. ;) As you may have noticed by now, nearly all shades of blue-green are my favorite colors. Thus, when I find a mint top my size it is a treasure indeed! Meanwhile, I have been in need of some encouragement(/mint) lately and thought I would share with you some scripture that I have found uplifting!

   Hi all, and a happy summer to you! Here in my neck of the woods, the day became bright and clear by late morning. The weather is warming up, and the yearning to be outdoors has awakened in our hearts as blue skies smile overhead.

    Hello all! Hmm, it seems that I blog on a different day every week now doesn't it? Such is the life of a hobby blogger and indeed, such is the life of everyone! Our days are full of ups and downs, free time and busy time, surprises and daily duties. Now and then the Lord gives us little gifts (material or intangible) that put a smile on our face in the midst of it all. One of recent gifts for me was this skirt!

   Hi all! Another week, another outfit - it sure is fun having new clothes! I seem to be going through a season of updating my wardrobe. Happily, my closet loses a few old clothes when new items go in. I'm not sure if the number of things going out is quite the same as those going in, but I try my best. ;)

   Last Sunday I had the rare opportunity of combining two new things together in an outfit, having a free afternoon, and enjoying a sunshiny day! Everything combined at the right time for my first real blog shoot in...um...I don't remember how long! This one features my new boots and a lovely feminine top. If Mrs. Bennett lived in modern times and had taken it upon herself to describe this outfit to her husband, he probably would have begged her to stop once she started in on the lace. ;)

   Hello all! Instead of perfectly posed outfit portraits to share today, I have a couple of snapshots from an outdoor day with my family this weekend. We went out into the sunshine to celebrate Dad's birthday and enjoyed a couple of afternoon hours by the river. Of course, I brought my camera, and had great fun capturing cloud shots with the polarizing filter on my lens! 

   This week's "Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday" post has become a Thursday post, thanks to some technical difficulties with our internet provider! Though this could not be helped, I happily had some time this stormy afternoon to share my outfit! And so, now I blog, sipping tea, soaking up the warmth of a space heater, and gazing out the foggy living room window as I write.

   Hello and how do you do this last Tuesday of January? Typical winter trials are certainly upon us here in the Western Hemisphere. I hope that you are avoiding all the sickness that my own area is currently weathering. Speaking of weather, I pray that any American east-coasters reading this stay safe and warm though the storm! On to happier things such as...what else? Fashion! ;)

  The day has finally come! I'm publishing the 100th post of Sunday Best and All the Rest! *cue confetti*  I could talk about all the hard work and dedication I put in to get to this point, but it was really more like a lot of fun and, yes, some frustration ("Why won't this picture fit!?" "I've been sitting here for ages...").   Also, I would have baked you cookies, but they are a bit difficult to share over the internet. Feel free to bake yourself some cookies courtesy of me. ;)   Instead of baked goods, I have a Q&A to share with you. Thank you to the gals who asked such intriguing questions.   Top o' the weekend to you, ladies! I hope that you have a refreshing Saturday ahead of you. My plans for the day include a birthday party and going to the movies. Tomorrow will be a lovely day celebrating the Resurrection of our great Lord! :) Before all this takes place, though, I have an outfit and some words of encouragement to share with you!
