Sunday Best and All the Rest

   Hello all! I'm sorry to be posting this a bit late -better late than never, you know. ;) Today, I am presenting a topic of interest to me, as well as a new outfit. Scroll on down - I hope you enjoy this post!

    At the beginning of this month I asked my readers to comment with their thoughts about attending college and also promised to share my own. You readers provided me with intriguing feedback - now it's time for me to carry through on my end! I would like to tell you why I have so far chosen not to go to college. My reasons include lack of interest, lack of need, and personal life goals and convictions. In explaining these to you, my intention is not to bash those who do  go to college or to suggest that no one should go. Instead, I hope to show you that my choice to not attend an institute of higher learning was a good choice for me, as well as for others who made the same decision.

        Do you ever have one of those days where you just want to go out and do something out of the ordinary? It doesn't have to be anything too unusual, like bungee jumping or diving for oysters. It just has to be something beyond the normal obligations of life. There was an evening last week when I felt exactly this way. Dad was away at a meeting, so Mom and I headed out to the beach with my camera in tow, hoping to find adventure.

        {This is what I looked like after camp counseling for six days. It's harder than usual to tell I'm a fashion blogger. ;) }    The long lost blogger of Sunday Best has finally returned! Though it's only been just over a week, it seems like an age has passed since I last wrote a post. There was good reason for this absence; I was spending six days at a camp, counseling for a cabin of 6th and 7th grade girls! Yesterday was my recovery day, and today I'm buckling down to get this post out. Okay, I call it "buckling down", but I'm actually enjoying this. ;)

     Recently I read the story of the Apostle Paul's conversion in Acts. I thought something like Wow, what an awesome testimony Paul had . He was a man who had made it his goal in life to zealously root out the allegedly blasphemous Christians. Then, he was miraculously changed by an encounter with the Lord Jesus on the road to Emmaus. He became possibly the most famous Christian in history, an evangelist and teacher who wrote much of the New Testament.

  Greetings, all! Today I am going to do something different with my Saturday post. For a while now, I've had the idea of writing an essay on modesty kicking around in my head. This weekend ended up being the time to do it! May what I wrote speak to you and encourage you in the Lord. :) Why Modesty?
