Outfit Guest Post: Natasha
It's Saturday again and you know what that means....time for a Sunday Best post! :) Today I have a special treat for you in that I have an outfit guest post! Natasha, one of the first modest fashion bloggers I followed, has kindly agreed to do a post for me. Take a look at her cute outfit and wise words on modesty, then be sure to check out her blog.
Paige has asked me to guest post for her (and of course I said, "Yes!")
I truly can't remember where I found Paige's blog, but I'm so glad I did!
I'll start by introducing myself, then sneakily slide into a lecture on modesty (not really....well, kind of...)
I'm a 20 year old Christian gal who happens to live in Montana. I enjoy a vast array of activities and hobbies including; drawing (mostly pencil portraits), blogging (visit my blog HERE), reading, exercising, eating healthy, concocting natural beauty products and going to movies. I have to confess that I've been known to pick movies or tv shows based solely on the costumes. I especially love 1940's and regency era movies. Pride and Prejudice anyone?
Our current world is telling women that in order to be attractive, we need to wear as little as possible.
I think Paige and I, along with hundreds of other modest fashion bloggers are out to prove them wrong. Ladies, you don't get more respect from dressing like you don't respect yourself. You're not more attractive when clothed in very little (being attractive, and being sexually alluring are two different things in my mind). It's important that we dress and act how we want the men, and women for that matter, to treat us. Don't let them stamp you as trash, because you're not! You're so beautiful and your Heavenly Father loves you so much. He wants other people to see the beauty He sees. Help other people see how beautiful you are by simply not flaunting everything.
I know there are some women out there who possibly don't even know where to begin dressing modestly, but want to. I would be so incredibly blessed if you would shoot me a comment and let me help you with that. There's no judging going on here, I would love for my (and perhaps Paige's) blog to become a safe haven for girls to talk about modesty. Where we can ask, "Hey, how can I make this modest?"
For those modest "veterans" leave a comment with your best modesty tip.
Here's mine: Buy camisoles in black white and brown. They're versatile and you'll wear them With everything!

I agree with Natasha that if you are new to the idea of dressing modestly, don't be afraid to comment on this post or any post on either of our blogs. We are just part of a whole world of modest Christian bloggers who can be an encouragement to you. Thanks for posting Natasha!

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

For sure! :D I'm glad you were able to do it.
DeleteThanks for the post, Natasha! :) It was really good! I agree with you about the modesty thing. It makes me feel awful when I see men or guys staring after girls who are wearing nothing almost! But there is so much of a difference when they stare at modest girls, such as me and sisters and mom. Thanks again! I really like your elephant shirt by the way! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, Natasha! What you said about modesty is sooo true!
