Pink Blazer & Tall Trees
How do you do readers? I am busy (surprised? ;) and glad to be enjoying the summer sunshine this week. Oddly enough, the cheerfully colored outfit I'm posting today did not have sun as a backdrop. Oh well! At least the photos were taken somewhere besides my house (which resulted from a really quick side-trip on the way home from a birthday party...). Enjoy the different backdrop! :)
On Sunday morning, I knew that I wanted to wear my pink and brown blazer. Just looking at it makes me happy. but it doesn't go with many clothes. After a bit of mixing and matching I put it with a graphic navy tank and dark blue skirt. My favorite new heels were also a must-wear for church. The outfit's finishing touch was a pink rose pin that covered up the uh...awkward...parts of my braided hairdo. Though I don't wear pink very often, I like how pretty the color can be!
Outfit Details: Blazer ~ Consignment store; Tank ~ Rue 21; Skirt ~ Made by Mom; Heels ~ Kohl's
Before closing, I just want to remind you about the blog party coming up next week! If you missed the announcement, check out last week's post HERE for more info. I hope you can participate!
What are some wonders of God's creation specific to your area?
Do you have clothing that doesn't go with much, is kept because you like it so much?
The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
Psalm 92:12-13
So cute! That tree is HUGE. How is your elbow by the way?
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley! :) It's sweet of you to ask about my elbow! It's healing really nicely. The bruise just hurts a little if I put weight on my elbow (like leaning on it).
DeleteOh... Another stunning outfit, my friend...and I am a true lover of the colour pink, so I just adore your blazer...brown and pink are gorgeous together.
ReplyDeleteAnd the pretty rose pin just completes the lovely outfit!
What amazing redwood trees...I have read so much about them, but of course I have never seen them... Thus, I really enjoyed your photographs:)
Have a wonderful Wednesday dear Paige...and I almost forgot! Happy first of July!
Hugs!
Thank you Kelly-Anne! :D Yes, I like the colors together.
DeleteYay!
Thank you! Have a good July my friend. :)
I'm going to be honest and say the only thing I can think of when I see this blazer is when I did the dressing well challenge thing on FB! It was brand new then, right? ;) Cute outfit! And nice redwoods....I've never seen those; you'll have to show me sometime ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yes! :) Thank you. Yeah, you'll have to check them out some time...you know, go outside. ;)
DeleteI love those white heels! They look really cute!

Thank you Margaret! :) One of my friends recently bought the same pair because they're so cute and comfy.
DeleteI looove those shoes! So cute and summery :)

Thank you Grace! :D I like 'em too. ;)
DeleteNice outfit! I think the blazer and the sandals give the whole outfit a really vintage 40s era look!
ReplyDeleteI live near a river that can be pretty amazing and powerful!
And for clothes, I have a blazer that is slightly small and an odd dark blue shade so I can't find much to go with it but I feel like a blazer is such a wardrobe staple, so I keep it anyway! :)
Thanks so much Jill! :D
DeleteAh yes, it's good to have a blazer! I have a dark blue one as well, but with the opposite problem - it's a bit too big! Perhaps someday you and I will find well-fitting outerwear. ;)
Oh cute outfit! I love your heels! :) The weather here as been really hot. Yesterday was 93 F, which is quite hot for England!!! Today is in the 70s.
ReplyDeleteWow, that tree is really wide!
I think I have a couple items of clothing that don't match much but I like them anyway! :)
Hope you have a nice 4th of July tomorrow! Some missionary friends are coming today instead tomorrow to celebrate!
Thanks so much Rosalyn! Wow, that is hot! The 70's sounds better to me. :)
DeleteOh, that will be fun! Thanks and enjoy your celebration. :)
Those redwoods are so impressive! Yes, I keep some items of clothing that I never/almost never wear as closet decorators. ;)
ReplyDeleteThey are! Sometimes we take them for granted over here. Hehe, closet decorators...;)
DeleteHi Paige! I haven't commented lately but that doesn't mean I haven't been looking at and admiring your blog! ;) I really enjoyed your post about your vacation and what you packed! Yes I have several items of clothing that I adore but don't wear much because they don't go with many things in my wardrobe. In Georgia, where I live, we have lots of red clay instead of brown dirt. Also we have some gorgeous fall foliage because of all the hard wood trees!

Aw, thanks so much Sarah! It's good to "see" you. :)
DeleteThat sounds beautiful! Fall foliage is so pretty, but we don't have much here.
Hey Paige! I've never been to California but I would LOVELOVELOVE to one day. I live in NC and love it. The beaches, parks, and wildlife are pretty incredible. And ya-- I feel you with the clothing-that-doesn't-go-with-much-but-you-love-it-too-much-to-let-it-go. I have this Romeo-and-Juliet-like blouse that is super hard to style but super lovely. Ah, well, the challenge is half the excitement of fashion!
ReplyDeleteIreland from Ireland Rhea
Hi Ireland! You should visit CA someday! :D NC sounds fun too.
DeleteYes, that is true! :)
