Denim Day
Yesterday I decided to style a more casual outfit than I usually do. Because clothing at my job doesn't need to be dressy, this outfit was perfectly appropriate. In the evening, I wore my look to a baby shower and had the right level of comfy-but-cute style for a low-key gathering of ladies.
The outfit started out with a knee-length denim skirt - denim skirts are a great basic piece to have, especially if you don't wear jeans or don't have any good ones, like me. ;) I paired it with a sweet graphic tee. Teal tights added a color pop, while an oatmeal cardi kept me warm. Beautifying my wrist was a beaded bracelet that a friend brought me from her mission trip to Indonesia. I completed my outfit with brown boots.
Outfit Details: T-shirt ~ Thrift Store Friend Find; Cardigan ~ June? (store in mall that has changed hands a few times); Skirt ~ Consignment Store; Tights ~ Gift; Boots ~ Ross; Bracelet ~ Gift
So, what have you enjoyed wearing this season? Have you found any new pieces that make you feel happy just wearing them? Feel free to email me a photo of your current favorite outfit or fabulous fashion find (yes, I just used alliteration ;)). Until Saturday, happy stylin'!

Hello dear Paige! Oh my...I really enjoyed your post today, my friend! This is a lovely outfit...I like how casual yet cute it is! Denim skirts are a staple item for me...I dislike wearing jeans and pencil skirts can be worn pretty much all year round!
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear it is going well at your job...what is it that you are doing...?
Have a truly blessed Thursday!
Hugs!
Well, thank you so much! Yes, these skirts are pretty handy. :)
DeleteI am a receptionist at an insurance agency. Most of my time is spent answering the phone and taking messages and making outgoing calls. I also greet customers, fax things, clean, make bank/post office runs and whatever else needs to be done. :)
Dear Paige, You do look comfy and stylish. Nice way to dress in the middle of the week. I do like your bracelet. Your tights are a nice color that flow good with your denim style. I have been wearing different colored leggings with my clothes and it does make me feel happy just wearing them. They add style and comfort as well. Oops, my M initial didn't show up on the last blog so I think I will just leave it out for now on. It's less formal and feels more friendly without it. Blessings, Stephanie
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! :) It's nice to wear a good comfy outfit now and then. How fun to have your own comfortable style!
DeleteOkay, no problem. I know who you are. :D
I love denim outfits! I wear Jean skirts a lot. They are so comfortable, and are much better then plain jeans.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are good for a girl to have! Thanks for dropping by. :)
DeleteOh I really like your boots! :) :) And I know, it's crazy that January is almost over already!
ReplyDeleteSorry about not commenting. For some reason the other computer wouldn't let me comment, but now that we got a new computer, it's working! :)
Thanks! Me too...this is their third winter, and it's starting to show. :)
DeleteOh no! Well, it's good to see you back Rosalyn! :)
Super cute, Paige!
ReplyDeleteI actually found quite a few pieces I adore this season. I'm embracing bolder colors right now and loving it. Currently my new neon green cardigan is at the top of my favorites list.

ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying wearing my half dozen pullover sweaters this winter. They are so classy, comfortable and warm!
Thanks! :D
DeleteOh, fun! :) I like sweaters...hope to have some new ones by next winter.
"Fabulous fashion find"--nice one! This does look like a very comfortable outfit! I have run into a few tops I really like in my last couple thrift-shopping trips.
ReplyDeleteIt is! Oh, that's great! Finding things that one actually *likes* rather than just what will *do* is great.
