Change and Rest
Hi everyone! I have a different kind of post to write today. There's no outfit, and no devotional, and no tag today. Instead, I'm going to share with you a little bit about life and blogging.
Coming up with a new outfit twice a week is not easy. There's a point where I run out of new items to share. Finding the gusto to pose for pictures is also difficult. After a day at work, I just want to eat dinner and melt into the recliner. At this point you might be thinking "Uh-oh, is she going to quit blogging?"
At the moment, I plan to continue blogging. However, Sunday Best may start to look different from now on. Outfit posts might appear less often, while devotional, photography, and music posts take their place. There may be times when I only post once a week instead of twice.
Right now, I'm tired. There have been changes in my life recently that are both physically and emotionally draining. Sometimes I just need to take time to rest. On some evenings, watching a movie may turn out to be better in the long run than laboring over a blog post. If I don't rest, I will be stressed and tense.
All that being said, I am so happy to have had the privilege of being part of the blogging world. Though I've never met many of you, I have enjoyed getting to know you and share life with you. I know that you will be understanding and supportive if this blog changes a little bit through the course of time. I look forward to the blogging adventures ahead!
...but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from
whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint
supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does
its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Ephesians 4:15-16
I'm sure I will love reading your blog whatever you decide to post, Paige! Hope you get caught up on your rest! Take care!
ReplyDeleteThan you my friend! :) I appreciate your sweet words.
DeleteTotally support whatever you need to do dear Paige, rest is so important and I for one enjoy devotional posts and your music stuff just as much as outfit related ones. Take care and I look forward to your new routine!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lexi! <3 I am glad to have you as a blogging friend.
DeleteI can very much sympathize with the need to slow down Paige! Blogging is for you to have fun with. My recommendation is that you never let it become a duty that you no longer enjoy.
ReplyDeleteAnd as Bethany said, I will enjoy your posts no matter what they are about or how often they appear. :)
Those are very wise words! And my mother has said them to me too, so I'd better pay attention. ;)
DeleteThanks! <3
Everything comes in its season and it's a sign of maturity to be able to realize what needs to take priority in your life when the seasons change. I have taken complete leave of my blog and the blogging world for months at a time simply because I needed to focus on other things. So, I totally understand and look forward to hearing how God blesses you during this change. Thanks so much for sharing from your heart.

Very true. Thanks so much for your words of encouragement Dani! :)
DeleteYou are so very sincere and honest. What an awesome trait. I understand life brings many changes and growing in different ways takes away from other things in life. So I find your compromise very smart move. Adjust things so that you can enjoy life to its fullest and feel good about your self. Family and friends always stick together through thick an thin. Do what is best for you. I will still check your blog and be grateful to share in your future posts. Stephanie
ReplyDeleteThank you for your support and understanding Stephanie! I am so glad to have you as a follower. :)
DeleteHello, Paige. I have been a blogging friend of Bethany's for quite some time and I saw your comment on her blog so decided to visit. Thank you for your openness. I think that oftentimes we lose the fun in blogging when we feel that we have to stick to a certain theme, schedule, etc. Blogging is supposed to be fu for us, not feel like a job. I think our blogs, much like we ourselves, evolve over time. You have earned a new follower. Cheers from "across the pond".
ReplyDeleteHi there! Yes, this is true. Thanks for the follow.
DeleteI'm glad you're deciding to do what's best for you! Though I love seeing your outfits, I'd prefer that you be rested, healthy, and happy :) Even if you only post once a month, I'll be glad that you're able to just kick back when you can. Happy blogging :)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! <3 I appreciate the encouragement.
