Sunday Best and All the Rest

   Long time no see, eh readers? I have not forgotten you! Life is in full swing, and I confess that putting together blog posts isn't something I've put a lot of effort into lately. However, excuses are distasteful, so rather than making any more I shall just say that this evening I am content to be sharing a recent style adventure with you.

  Hi readers! It's been a while again, hasn't it? Life has been extremely busy for me lately and blogging has been one of the things placed on the back burner. That doesn't mean I don't think about the blog often. Happily, earlier this week Mom and I got a chance to get out for a quick photo shoot!

Last weekend my longtime bestie got married, and I had the privilege of being a maid of honor! A time to remember those who have given their lives for our freedom, it is also a good day to enjoy an extended weekend and family time. My parents and I went to the river, and I took my camera along for some photography R&R!

   Hello all! It's about time for an outfit post, isn't it? A couple of weeks ago I had an impromptu shopping session and found a few new things, two of which I'm sharing today. In addition to a new look I would like to share a few thoughts with you about a subject that's been on my mind lately.

  Hello and how do you do, readers? It's almost 10:30 pm in the midst of a busy weekend, but while scrolling Facebook  a little while ago (honesty moment here) I had a sudden revelation - I haven't blogged yet! Because I don't have any recent outfit or nature shoots to share, I'd like to try my hand at Sunday Best's first ever "Lately" post. Let's you and I catch up a bit, shall we?

   So, it seems that I am addicted to stripes (of course, you already knew that) and jersey-knit skirts, most especially when the two combine. Just take a look at all of this year's outfit posts. >.< This particular outfit combines my new maxi skirt with a cozy sweater that looks like the perfect outfit for October; The only problem is that I wore this outfit last week. It's like Christmas in July right?

   Greetings, friends! Spring has sprung, events abound and the whispers of all that the changing seasons mean have begun echoing in our minds. There are classes to be completed, wildernesses to be explored, and dreams to chase! Before we complete our goals, embark on our adventures or invest in our hobbies we often have to wait. In the times of waiting, it's the little things in life that help us express our creativity - style is one way to do this!

  Hey there blogging buddies, what's new? My life definitely feels busy right now, though much of what fills it is just normal things like housework, maintaining a social life and oh, being employed. ;) That brings me to what I wanted to share with you all today. After being an administrative professional (aka office lady) for two years, I've had to learn how to dress uniquely and appropriately for the workplace. Some ideas are probably best left in the past, but I'll share the more helpful things I've picked up!

    Good evening, faithful readers and newcomers! Are you ready to go on an adventure with me? It's an adventure to one of the most beautiful parts of the world, the Pacific coast. Pondering the wild beauty of the seaside makes me think of how beautiful God's creation can be even in its broken state. In some ways, our own lives reflect this. Our trials and temptations leave us scarred and bruised, but the Lord in His mysterious goodness uses these to bring about the beauty of sanctification and fire-tested faith. Like a wind-whipped sea cliff, may our lives reflect a strength of character brought about by God's hand.

   Hi everyone! Long time no see, eh? I've been going through another one of those seasons where I find myself with no energy or material for blogging at the close of each day. Happily, Mom and I were finally able to get a photo shoot in over the weekend. I have quite a few new consignment items and am happy to be able to share them with you when I have the chance!

   How do you do, readers? It's high time that you and I met again! I hope that you have been well and happy. My life is as full as ever, though I'm expecting this to be a slower week (I think ;)). Over the weekend, my mom, best friend and I went on a shopping expedition. We all found something, and I took home quite a few consigned items. On Sunday, I had the chance to wear a couple of my finds!

   Good day, dear readers! How has your January been thus far? Mine has been cold and warm and windy and rainy and sunny - of course, this is fairly typical for my corner of the world. ;) Life is much the same way, never dull and always changing. There has been time for fun and photography and chocolate ice cream though! Now and then, I even have the energy to create a new outfit, which is just what I'm sharing with you today!

   Happy New Year, readers! It's 2018 and what do you know, there is now a generation of legal adults who weren't born in the 20th century. If that isn't enough to make you think, this November will mark 100 years since World War I ended. And 1,000 years ago, history was in the beginning of the medieval era. Are you tired of the trivia now? Let's get back to the simple things in life, clothes specifically. ;)
