Earth Tone Saturday // Happy Tag Round 2
Good weekend to you, readers! :D I hope that you have had a good week and are enjoying some rest and/or fun time now. Allow me to share with you an outfit and a tag!
Today's outfit is most definitely a March look. It doesn't involve boots or chunky sweaters, but it still features layering and tights! Of course, I'm now a bit over-warm, but I can be fairly confident that I won't get to cold when I attend a choir concert this evening.
The foundation of this outfit is a patterned green dress of jersey material that has been on the blog a few times now. To give it a chic, dressed-down look, I paired it with a tied chambray top. A silver chain and pendants add a little bit of sparkle and interest. Gray tights, a gray tank, and black flats make up the rest of the muted ensemble.

Chambray Shirt ~ Thrift or Consignment; Tights ~ Gift; Flats ~ Target
Recently, Dani from A Vapor in the Wind tagged me with the Happy Tag. When she wrote me in her post, she hadn't realized that I had already been tagged by someone else. Instead of doing a full-blown tag this time, I will include one thing in each category that I've enjoyed recently! :)
Books: Psalms
Word(s): "No worries". It's a recent habit for me to use this phrase, but it's a way of telling people that you don't mind anything they've done that might inconvenience you.
Movie/TV: Nothing in particular has hit me lately.
Scents: Organic perfume borrowed from my mom.
Songs: "Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine", an Irish song I'm learning on the dulcimer.
Random: The part of a bean & rice burrito I just had.
What is something that has made you happy recently?
Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,
And her gain than fine gold.
And the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,
And her gain than fine gold.
Proverbs 13:13-14
Hi Paige, love your green dress, adding the blue jean shirt made it look relaxed and comfortable. Just the other day my husband got out his motorcycle after the long winter. It wouldn't start, so he thought maybe it's the carburetor. So he took it all apart and cleaned it. Put it back together and put it back in the motorcycle and it started! I was so proud of him and so very happy for his accomplishment. Have a great rest of your weekend;) Stephanie
ReplyDeleteThank you Stephanie! Aw, how neat. :)
DeleteI've been looking for a chambray shirt like that for quite a while! You did a great job styling it and I love the fabric pattern on your dress!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look up that song that you mentioned. I usually enjoy Irish songs. And there is something that has made me happy recently--listening to Celtic music! :)
Thank you! They are so great to have.
DeleteOh yes! *thumbs up Celtic music*
Cute outfit! Helping people makes me happy!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! That is a great thing to be happy about. :D
DeleteI love the dress!! :) And the necklace. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny about the "no worries" phrase because here in England almost everyone says it! I guess it's not just an British thing. :) How come you started to say it?
Thanks Rosalyn! :D
DeleteOh, it's British? I'd better keep saying it. ;) Well, I'm not sure. Maybe "It's okay" wasn't strong enough?!
Haha, yeah that could be it. :)
DeleteMy tea-pot full of this combo: earl grey, milk tea, cream and sugar, makes me happy. Nothing like a pot of tea to drink on Sunday to calm the spirits and make one glad! BTW, I love your denim jacket. So cute!
ReplyDeleteOoh, yummy! :D Sounds like a good day. Thank you!
DeleteLove all the layers! Pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosi! :D
