Outfit || Valentine's Fashion
Well readers, Valentine's Day has come and gone, but do not think it passed without this blogger putting together an apropos outfit! You may also be sure that I did not to pass up the opportunity to eat chocolate, especially that which was gifted to me by my sweet parents. I may not have had a "Valentine" in the modern sense of the word, but was thankful to have a mom and dad who love me very much, and a little dog who always wants my attention. ;)
This ensemble has all the Valentiney aspects I could fit in without straying into the territory of "ridiculous". A pink cardigan and burgundy tights incorporated the traditional color scheme. Freshwater pearls, lace-trinmed boot cuffs and a flower hair clip (not shown) added feminine frills. A pencil skirt and sleek updo kept the look work-appropriate.

Okay, now to share the big news - I bought my first car! Actually, I bought it at Christmastime, but it's better to tell you late than never, right? ;) Thanks to everyone for sharing their well-wishes and prayers when I mentioned car-buying a while back. When God's timing was right, this used Honda Fit showed up where I work. Not only is it a beauty, but an all around great car for my current needs...and her name is Ladybug. ;)
I hope you all have a lovely weekend coming up! Don't forget to participate in the polls on the sidebar if they apply to you (see my last post for details). Happy stylin'!
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Your pink cardigan & burgundy tights with lace boot toppers definitely look festive for Valentines Day! Love the blooming tree in the background! Sounds like you had a lovely Valentines Day with your family! My what a beautiful Honda Fit! You look so proud standing next to your own car! Congratulations on purchasing such a nice car for yourself:) enjoy the freedom of driving anywhere, anytime you like! Stephanie
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch! ^_^ I'm glad you like the car. Though driving has not been one of my favorite things, I'm enjoying it a lot more and building confidence in my own little Fit!
DeleteI love that pink cardigan. Congratulations on that beauty of a car. There is nothing like a red car.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn
Thanks times two Marilyn! :) Hehe, I think everyone was surprised that I got a red car, but when it's the right one it's the right one!
DeleteThat car is indeed a beauty! Love how you named her ladybug! Wow. You already have green grass and blooming trees? That is completely awesome. Today we had lovely weather--in the 60s, nothing like our usual Iowa February! So, I'm happy here.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice outfit, and very appropriate for the day.
Hope you are enjoying a lovely weekend.
Thank you! :) Haha, yes! It's much greener here in the winter than in the summer, and we've been having an abundance of rain lately. These flowering trees usually bloom in February. Ooh, it sounds like you had a nice, warm day in Iowa! :D

ReplyDeleteLadybug looks great. I have never had a red car - for some reason most of mine have been white Fords!
Why thank you! :) Hehe, yes...red cars are rather sporty, but white cars can be glamorous too!
DeleteLadybug is the perfect backdrop for a Valentine outfit ;)
ReplyDeleteShe is indeed. ;)
