Sunday Best and All the Rest

Hello all! Long time no see! I hope a few of my readers are still out there. ;) We’re having a lazy Sunday afternoon so I thought I’d show you some fun things I’ve been wearing from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Please excuse my lived-in house and hotel room photos. Most of my new pieces were ordered online. I don’t thrift as often but now and then I find something fun at the shop in my neighborhood!  These two photos were taken on a 3-day trip the hubby and I took on Memorial Day weekend. I found the shorts on the American Eagle website - I’m kind of obsessed with their pants. It was nice to find longer shorts that weren’t board shorts! Here is a work outfit featuring American Eagle pants. Oh guess what?! These are American Eagle jeans. ;) The top is one of my new favorites, and it has the same color as the dress in the background of the dressing room, which you see below… It’s a gorgeous color and it has polka dots.         Hello, dear followers! I'm not sure how many of you still read this blog, myself and my blog friends have moved on to marriage, children, and careers. However, I still like to drop in now and then to share something fun or thoughtful. :) 

  Hello friends! I'm not sure how many of my old followers are still on the blogosphere, as it seems most of us have moved on to new chapters in life. I myself haven't checked in here in months! The other day, however, a scripture stood out to me as something I might share a quick post about. So here to brighten your weekend are a few snippets from God's Word along with some photography from the past year.

   Hello friends! After a long hiatus, I can hardly believe that I'm writing an outfit post. The truth is, I still try to look put together, but I no longer live with my outfit photographer (Mom ;)) and by the time I get home from work I just want to get cleaned up and get supper ready. However, last week I decided to let the hubby give outfit shooting on his phone a try and he did a great job - perhaps next time we shall use my real camera! ;)

     Okay, I have not been on Blogger for a really long time, and it shows!So much has happened in the past several months! When I wrote my last post, the pandemic was just beginning and I had only been married for a few weeks. Little did I know how crazy life would get. I hope that you are are all staying well and sane during this season, as all of us are dealing with unanticipated changes.

   Hello, dear readers! We haven't "met" in quite some time have we? Well, those of you who read my last post probably recall that I got engaged in November. Thus, you can easily imagine how crazy life has been since then! I am happy to announce that three weeks ago Mr. C and I became man and wife. Life has been quite full as we settle into our new life, build routines, and enjoy spending time together. This weekend, however, I wanted to take a few minutes share some photos from our special day!

  Hello all and happy November! With earlier sunsets, colder days, and talk of Thanksgiving plans, it's easy to feel the change of seasons. Though the dark evenings can frustrate me, I do like being cozy indoors watching movies and draining mugs of tea. Another one of my favorite things (I feel a song coming on...) about this time of year is a good pair of boots.

     Hello all! Have you had a happy October thus far? Mine has been rather interesting, with ups and downs. One of the fun things I was able to do was take a few coastal photos on a clear, chilly day with plenty of lovely clouds. Take a quick walk with me back to that afternoon; Be sure to grab a scarf. ;)

   Hello everyone! Just when you were beginning to wonder if I would ever put up a September post (okay, maybe that was me who was wondering), here I am! Life has remained busy and due to various factors, I spend much of my free time sitting on the couch doing things that demand as little  physical or mental energy as possible. I'm discovering that adulthood is a long season in life in which one's level of responsibility does not change in relation to one's amount of sleep (thanks insomnia). One simply does the "have tos" and puts aside the "want tos" to make room for naps. ;)

   Hello, dear readers! How has your summer been? Mine has remained full. One of the things I have enjoyed about this season is time spent outdoors photographing Creation. A month or two ago, I visited the local flower garden and was delighted to have captured the blooms at golden hour! Here are a few shots...

   Happy July, my sweet friends! I hope that you are having a lovely summer thus far. The days of outdoor adventures and backyard barbecues have wrapped my season in a social whirl. Today, I would like to share with you a coastal summer outfit (meaning it's meant for not-actually-hot weather  ;) ) and along with a few thoughts on Psalm 43.

   Readers, I have returned! This year, blogging has taken its place on the back burner. This was bound to happen eventually. Life seasons change, and in this stage of life I smile at my innocent teenage intentions to write here three times a week. Once a month is about all I can manage now. Nevertheless, the less often our visits, the sweeter they are.

   Did you know that May is Mental Health Awareness Month? This May is a great opportunity to talk about this topic, as it is close to my heart. I especially have a growing passion for sharing about mental health as it relates to the church.

   Good evening, dear readers! Can you believe it!? I'm posting twice in one month. It's probably been a minute since I've done that, eh? ;) Well, I hope you've been having a lovely April thus far. Mine has been fairly busy and graced with the signs of Spring, including gorgeous daffodils, lovely sunsets, and less-than-pleasant pollen (hello, allergy meds).

   Hello, dear readers! I hope that March came to a peaceful close for you and yours and that April will prove to be a lovely spring month (or autumn month for the Southern Hemisphere natives!) We can look forward to a more pronounced change of seasons and a special holiday to celebrate the Lord's resurrection.

   Hello everyone! I'm here today with the first outfit shoot of 2019! In fact it's the first outfit shoot in um..a while. ;) The funny thing is, when I titled this post I mistakenly typed "Pink" as "Oink", which is almost as fitting since pigs are often pink. Also, I've had an obsession with miniature piglets lately. So in a manner of speaking I have been "thinking oink" in recent days. Please tell me I'm not the only who gets fixated on small, fuzzy animals...

   Hello ladies! Happy New Year, Merry Christmas, and Happy Valentine's Day while I'm at it. ;) I'm afraid that sporadic blog posts are my new normal, but that will just make our time together that much sweeter. This post is quite long compared to most, so I will let you get to it. Please also enjoy a few beach photos I took last weekend. :) *I have definitely not "arrived" (nor have any of us still living on earth;)) This post is for me too. God taught me new things as I was preparing the post. Anything good or encouraging that I have to say to you is from Him.*

   Long time no see, eh readers? I have not forgotten you! Life is in full swing, and I confess that putting together blog posts isn't something I've put a lot of effort into lately.
