Outfit || First Day of Summer

Hi all! I'm back after a bit of an unplanned break. Life got busy, and putting together fresh outfits got difficult.  Photos didn't get done until Monday and by yesterday I figured I may as well wait and write the post today. Such is life, but I'm glad to be back!

For  those of us in the Western Hemisphere, our first day of summer was on Monday. If I remember correctly, it was a sunny, mild day in my neck of the woods. Staying true to personal form, rather than trying to be seasonable, I put together a nautical look that carried me through a day of work and a birthday party in the evening.

My look was of the "simple-but-cute" genre. I paired a navy and white striped cardi with a full, nautical-inspired skirt and layered with a bright pink t-shirt. I shod myself in trusty black flats and called it an outfit! In retrospect, I should really give this striped cardi more outings. It's a good one! :)

Today I leave you with a couple of verses from Psalm 34. I really enjoyed reading this Psalm the other day, and encourage you to give the whole thing a read!

I sought the Lord, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces were not ashamed.
Psalm 34:4-5

  1. That skirt! Paige dear, you look amazing! I think that it is pretty safe to say you pull off the nautical look really well! Blues and stripes! And again...that skirt!
