Sunday Best and All the Rest

   Hi all! How are you doing on this May weekend? I've still got the cold I mentioned on Tuesday but am feeling like I will be over it soon. :) I didn't end up working at all this week, but it was actually pleasant to have a break from the craziness of life.

   The aroma of freshly cut grass filled the mild air as residents of the neighborhood took opportunity to groom their lawns. Only a few wispy clouds were held in the azure sky above. Two ladies and a cheerful little dog stepped briskly down the sidewalk. Today was Saturday, and an ideal day to be outdoors. 

   I feel as if it's been a long time since I did an outfit post! Now I'm ready to remedy the situation. ;) Today's outfit was worn hiking this weekend, and is probably the most casual thing I've posted here thus far. Of course, I find it impossible not to strive for a level of cuteness, even on those (rare) days when I wear jeans and a t-shirt.    My Mom wanted to go hiking on a local trail for her birthday, so our family of three and several friends set out after lunch this Sunday afternoon. The trail overlooks the vast Pacific ocean, and the clear day offered spectacular views. Our afternoon was lovely as we enjoyed exercise in the fresh air and the fellowship of friends.

   In case you haven't noticed (which you probably didn't, since I often have trouble getting more than one post out per week ;) ), my weekly blogging goal is to do one outfit post and one topic post each week. This is my outfit post for the week, but it includes another topic as well. The latter is something that I wish didn't have to be here, but frankly, I'm desperate for some answers! Blogger has been acting rather peculiar lately, as well as the internet in general. That being said, let's start out with the fun stuff... ...such as this outfit! Monday was a day of running a couple of errands and relaxing at home. Even though I was wearing comfy jeans, Converse, and a long-sleeved knit t-shirt, the outfit was dressed up a little bit with the jacket I purchased during last month's thrift store expedition .
