Good week to you, readers! October is nearly over - can you believe it?! And do you know what that means? It's sweater weather! Well, it is for me anyway. ;)

Good day, all! Has your week been off to a good start? Mine began in a busy but fun way of cleaning house and fellowship with friends.

Since becoming a fashion blogger, I have definitely become braver in the world of clothes. For example, I've been mixing patterns that I wouldn't have before. This casual outfit from last week was a first time for me, as I paired pinstripes with a chevron pattern.

Afternoon, friends! I hope you are having a good week so far. How's the weather where you live? In my neck of the woods we had a sudden transition from summer to fall during the early part of last week. Last Sunday I wore a wool skirt to church, whereas the week before I wore sandals to the evening service! It's definitely time for a wardrobe transition.

Fashion Defined: Short Pants

Image
Happy weekend ladies! Are you ready for another fashion defining adventure? Let's go!    Once upon a time, I wanted short pants that weren't, well...shorts. I was glad to finally find some for this summer at a consignment store. They're jeans that hit me at my calf muscle and have a small notch on the outer seam. Because of my slender legs, they look better rolled up just below my knee, hence they appear shorter in these pictures than the actually are. I have called them capris and crop pants, but decided to find out for sure when writing a blog post including them ( see here ). I decided they were pedal pushers at the time, but it's not really as simple as that.

Hello ladies! I hope your week has been off to a lovely start. :) Here, we've been enjoying a very summery October so far. All the same, it's about time to talk about cool weather clothes - today I'd like to share with you another winter outfit styled by my mom!

Guest Post: Costume Inspired Dress by Jill

Image
Hi, my name is Jill and I blog over at the Wizard of Odds and Ends , my craft/fashion/chatty blog. First off, I want to thank Paige for asking me to do a guest post! I am thrilled to have this opportunity! I've been trying to figure out what to write about for nearly a week. Lately, I've been writing a Handmade Wardrobe Series on my blog where I try to build two or three outfits around one article of clothing that I made. It has been challenging, but SO much fun. Today, I decided I'd show an earlier piece of sewing that I did.

Waiting for Winter

Image
H'lo all! How has your week been so far? Mine has so far consisted of still trying to shake this cold, while getting back into normal weekly stuff, as well as attending a medieval festival!    Last week in the throes of illness (obviously we weren't at death's door) Mom thought it would be fun to style a couple of outfits for me and do a photo shoot. Both of the winsome ensembles she put together have a wintry look, and as the air is beginning to chill a bit, they can be made use of before too long! Onward to the first outfit...
