Hello all and happy November! With earlier sunsets, colder days, and talk of Thanksgiving plans, it's easy to feel the change of seasons. Though the dark evenings can frustrate me, I do like being cozy indoors watching movies and draining mugs of tea. Another one of my favorite things (I feel a song coming on...) about this time of year is a good pair of boots.

How do you do, readers? It's high time that you and I met again! I hope that you have been well and happy. My life is as full as ever, though I'm expecting this to be a slower week (I think ;)). Over the weekend, my mom, best friend and I went on a shopping expedition. We all found something, and I took home quite a few consigned items. On Sunday, I had the chance to wear a couple of my finds!

Hello all! I'm joining in with the first day of Bramblewood Fashions' #Bramblewood Thrifted link-up. It's barely Friday any more, but I don't think it matters too much. ;) I had completely forgotten about this event until I saw a post by one of the bloggers I follow - eek! Thankfully, I already had a photo shoot stocked up for this Saturday, and it happened to meet the requirement of being mostly made of up secondhand items!

Hello all! Today I'm here to review a handcrafted item from an Etsy shop. How often is it that I do that!? Let's take a closer look, shall we?

Guest Post: Paper Bead Tutorial

Image
Good afternoon (or morning, or evening, or night ;) ladies! What have you been up to this Tuesday? I spent the first part of my day babysitting and am now preparing to fulfill the rest of the day's duties before heading off to our video Bible class tonight, and hopefully slipping in a nap somewhere.  Meanwhile, I have some inspiring reading material here for you! Kelly-Anne, the blogger behind Beautiful Girlhood ,was kind enough to put together this fun paper bead tutorial as a guest post. Enjoy this DIY project and be sure to check out Kelly-Anne's blog for more crafts, as well as recipes, encouraging words and more. :)

Accessories (Part One)!

Image
As fun as it is, I have to admit that keeping up with a blog is more work than I thought it would be. :) Nevertheless, (okay, it isn't  so terribly hard), I am now writing my next post. Today, the subject is accessorizing! Because there is so much ground to cover, this will be a two-part post. I shall try to publish the next installment as soon as possible.   As far as fashion goes, accessories are the icing on the cake! Though they may not be the centerpiece of an outfit, they pull it together and decide its theme or demeanor. Sometimes a simple necklace will do, whereas on other days, a girl likes to go all out with the embellishments. Getting creative with accessories is a simple way to step up one's style.   Before I continue, I would like to note that several of the following items have been homemade by friends and family. Many thanks for their creativity!   Necklaces are probably the easiest way to add...
