Sunday Best and All the Rest

  Hello all! If you've been following this blog for any length of time, you know that shades of blue are my favorite colors. Blue is a color of relaxation. Today, please join me for a blue outfit and some words on rest. :)

   Hi there readers! I hope all of my fellow U.S. folks are staying safe from the fires and storms demolishing different areas of our homeland. Let us remember to be prayer for those in the wake of the damage. Meanwhile, I know many of my high school and college followers have likely started school. May your studies go well and may you be able to maintain focus on the most important things in life in the midst of busyness and stress. :)

   Do you ever have one of those rare, precious bursts of inspiration in which a clear idea suddenly comes to you? Well, that's how the outfit I'm sharing today came together! After having it planned out for a few days, I wore it to church on Sunday. That sunny afternoon ended up being perfect for a photo shoot in the local garden! Mom and I met one of my co-workers and her dachshund there, and we enjoyed getting in some outfit photos and dog photography!

   Happy mid-week, my friends! May you stay strong through work, school, and home-keeping! I have a few relaxing photos to share with you, full of shades of blue and green; You can almost smell the clean air! :)

   Good ev'ning to you folks!  It's the third and final day (though only the second day for me) of Bramblewood Fashion's Fall Trends blog party. For the event, I styled a somewhat bohemian look incorporating a color I normally don't associate with fall - that color is purple!

   Hello all! It's October! Can you believe it? When we were doing this photo shoot today it was cold and windy enough to really seem like fall. If I had been out there much longer, I would have wanted a jacket. ;)

   Hello gals! How has your week been so far? Mine has been a little hectic, but I know the Lord teaches us through all experiences! :) Yesterday I had my usual babysitting job in the morning, plus another in the afternoon; the outfit featured today is what I wore for my day of childcare.

 Happy Tuesday all! What have you been up to this fine weekday? I spent the afternoon babysitting and am now finishing up this post before heading to a video Bible class with my parents.

  Good day, all! Has your week been off to a good start? Mine began in a busy but fun way of cleaning house and fellowship with friends.

   How do you do, all? :) I am back from what was probably my longest blogging hiatus ever, and it was not even a week and a half. Haha! This break was mostly due to going out of town for five days with my parents and best friend. We had a jam-packed week of shopping, hiking, driving, walking, eating out, hotel rooms and pools. Our busy little vacation was not only fun, but afforded plenty of opportunity for wearing and buying cute clothes! I'll show you a few of the outfits that I styled on our trip. :)

      Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you all had a splendid weekend. Today the outfit I'm posting is from the vacation I took a couple of weeks ago. I knew that I wanted to do a retro photo shoot at some point, so I packed my recently acquired vintage "Holiday"  magazine and some red lipstick. Normally, I wouldn't pack something like that on a trip where I was going to be hiking, but hey, a fashion blogger's gotta do what a fashion blogger's gotta do. ;)

 It's already Wednesday again, everyone! Writing and reading blog posts certainly helps to pass the time when one is down with a cold. Anyone else out there fighting a case of the sniffles? Staying home means that life can be, well, uneventful, but I still came up with a few awkward and awesome moments to share!

  This week, I went on a trip with my parents and best friend to a town that is artistic, touristy, and a home to fun shops and consignment stores. Of course, that means that we went shopping! One of my purchases was a brand new floral print summer dress (Yes, I do buy new clothing now and then, but it was on a superb sale of about $15. Also, the state we were in has no sales tax :D.)! The color scheme of the dress will make a great transition into autumn, and I think it will look cute with tights and boots. You will have to stay tuned to see what I do with it next. ;)            Today I wore the dress layered with a t-shirt and leggings, since it doesn't quite meet my modesty standards on its own. Later, I decided to put a chambray shirt over it to wear outside. The chambray shirt is also new, and this was actually the first time I wore it. My mom got it at Kohl's on sale, an...
