Outfit || Greeting the Season

   Good evening, all! Can you believe it's the last day of November already?! Winter has come upon us in the north, with cooler temperatures here to stay even in the temperate climate of my corner of the world. With this chill in the air, I've had to become more creative with dressing for work. Happily, I enjoy dressing for cooler weather. It's time to enlist the sweaters and boots!

   When the seasons change, I find myself coming up with ways to transform summer clothing into winter clothing. Today I did this by putting together a look built upon my beloved tulle skirt. A star-spangled graphic tee and well-worn gray cardigan came together to form the top half of my outfit. Brown boots paired with knee socks were a choice that kept me warm during the day's work. Though I wouldn't put this outfit in my fashion blog hall of fame (had I one...), it is a fun, unique look that was comfortable for this November day!

   Now, my dear readers, I would like to hear from you. How do you transition from warm weather to cool weather? Do you have two separate wardrobes or do you get creative with layering? I look forward to hearing from you in the comments below!

But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and
renewing of the Holy Spirit,

  1. Cool weather? Ha, looking forward to "real winter" when I get home! Nice spangly outfit, by the way ;) 1) You look tall again in your first pic (not as tall as with the new dress, but still tall) and I'm wondering if it's a different angle than normal!? 2) your hair has already grown out longer it seems like :O I'm impressed!! 3) p.s. still love the tulle skirt ^_^

    1. Haha, yup! None of this summer in December stuff. ;) Hmm, I don't know! Must be the shooting from far away with a telephoto lens? Yeah, it's growing really fast! O.o

  2. Oh, you look so princess like in this beautiful tulle skirt, my friend! Ah, how lovely it must be to wear...{{smiles}} I love dressing for winter, although mid-winter proves to be a challenge when you desire to be stylish and stay warm at the same time!
    Love and hugs to you and happy end of November!

    1. Aw, thanks sweet friend! Yes, I imagine so. :-S Here, it doesn't get too cold, so it doesn't become very difficult unless I plan on being outside at night.
      Thank you! Happy December. :D

  4. Paige, a new favorite outfit! That outfit is marvelous! I do not have two separate wardrobes. I have my heavy jeans I pull out in winter, and my capris I pull out in summer, but most of my dresses/skirts I wear year-round by layering. My favorite thing this season is some fleece lined footed leggings. They are the thickness of leggings, but have the look of tights (yeah for no awkward socks) and look elegant under skirts. They are super warm.

  5. You do look comfortable and warm! I tend to have several sets of summer and winter outfits. I have intertwined my fall long sleeve shirts with my winter sweaters along with skirts I add leggings and boot toppers with my boots. Looks like a layered style warm and cozy:) Hope you have a great weekend! Stephanie

  8. Paige, this outfit is so lovely! Your tulle skirt is so beautiful!
    Well, I think for the most part, I tend to have two separate wardrobes. I wear my maxis and dresses all year round, but my sweaters, hoodies and fleece leggings only make their appearance around this time of year. :)
    It's actually snowing in Oregon right now, so I'm cuddle up in fleece hoodies and my new reindeer leggings!

    Be blessed!
