Outfit || Walk Between the Raindrops

   Hullo all! How has your week been? As usual, I have been keeping busy, but enjoy the satisfaction of getting projects done at work and home. The weather has been dreary out West, and has taken toll on the morale of we who live beneath the storms. However, I am grateful for plenty of water after a long drought. For the past two weeks, there have been breaks in the rain when Mom meets me for lunch on my full days at work. There is a nature trail near my place of work, so we have had the pleasure of taking short walks together. While we were out today, Mom took a few outfit photos on her phone.

   Today's ensemble includes a dressy tunic worn with my black boot cut pant. A magenta cardigan kept my arms warm, while punched leather Mary Janes kept my feet comfortable. Crowning the outfit is a slouchy pink beret that I crocheted a couple of years ago. Though I was a little unsure of wearing my hat to work, it gained many kind compliments. People are used to my unique fashion choices by now anyway. ;)

   What have you been up to this first week of March?
Do you enjoy wearing hats?

 How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.
They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house,
And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.
For with You is the fountain of life;
In Your light we see light.
 Psalm 36:7-9

  2. Lovely outfit, my friend! I love your beret...I am so impressed that you crocheted it! In vain my sister has tried to teach me the art of crochet...perhaps someday something will just click! {{smiles}} So glad to hear you and your mom are still able to spend so much time together... Thinking of you and wishing you a blessed weekend!
    Love,

  4. I can't believe you made that hat, it's so cute! Nothing I ever make turns out wearable. :) When I was growing out a short hair cut, I hid my head with a hat often, but now that my hair is long I occasionally wear a plain baseball cap and that's it.

    This first week of May, I'm getting ready to go to Florida over spring break. Exciting stuff.

    1. Thanks bunches Lauren! :) Aw, well perhaps someday it will. I rarely wear hats, and they are often too big, so it's nice to make have something homemade that fits!
      Oh, lovely! :D

  6. I love your beret - you are really talented.

    I also like your tunic - it looks great with your black trousers. I always like to wear a tunic or long top to cover my bottom when wearing some of my tighter trousers
