Outfit || Coral Summer

   Hi all, and a happy summer to you! Here in my neck of the woods, the day became bright and clear by late morning. The weather is warming up, and the yearning to be outdoors has awakened in our hearts as blue skies smile overhead.

   Though unintentional, yesterday I ended up dressing in a seasonal appropriate color - it's a shade that makes you think of orange sherbet or a summer sunset! This hi-lo top featuring a coral hue and lacy front is a recent favorite of mine. Yesterday I paired it with a quintessential jean skirt, making a classy but casual weekday outfit. Adding a bit more fun to my look was a scarf turned hairband that echoed the colors of the top (check out the tutorial I used here on Rebekah's blog!). Ballet flats are my go-to shoe, so yesterday I finished my outfit with a pair!

   This evening, Dad and I went on an expedition to the beach and boardwalk and I took a few pictures with my phone. The phone's camera decided that pointing into the sun was too overwhelming to capture color, so it ended up looking like I used a cool filter when I actually did not. ;) Here are a a few shots!

What did you do on the first day of summer?
For international friends getting ready for winter, what have you been doing in the cooler weather?

God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.
Hebrews 1:1-3a

  2. Love the lace and color of your top. It does remind me of a sunset. Your hairband is cute. The photos of the beach and sunset are so calming and relaxing, glad you could take time out of your busy schedule to share that moment with your Dad and us:) I made home made ice cream in Summer school with the children. They really had fun shaking the bags and turning the milk, sugar and vanilla into ice cream!!!!! It was a fun way to welcome Summer:) Hope you have a great rest of your week and weekend:) Stephanie

  3. Hi, Paige! Love the top as well. In fact, I have one on similar to yours right now. :)
    Do you mind if I suggest a blog post for you to do? So on Sundays, I always struggle with my hair... would you mind to do a post on that soon? I have thick, long hair and I like it pulled back so I need ideas that look classy and yet keeps it off my shoulders.
    Thanks!
