Autumn in the Spring

Hi everyone! What do you have planned for this weekend? My weekend has been/ will be filled with attending a birthday bbq, church, a goodbye potluck, blogging, putting together a childrens' church lesson, and hopefully watching a movie or reading...hopefully. ;)

Do any of you have the pile on a chair which consists of clothing items waiting to be worn again before being washed? Well, I've definitely spent some time with the pile as a roommate. Recently, I decided to move the pile to some spare room in my closet, though a couple of items still stay on the chair.
Last Saturday I took a tunic sweater that had been in the closet pile (which is not in fact a pile...what do I call it now?!) and built an outfit around it. I added a long-sleeved orange tee, my favorite jeans, brown boots and a beautiful new scarf that my Mom bought for me. It was a fun, boho ensemble that ended up looking very autumnal! Oh well...it was a chilly day. :)

Can you relate to having "the pile"?
Do you ever swap seasons in your outfits?

Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.

  2. Very cute outfit!
Oh yes, "the pile"...and my sister and mom and I were just talking about it the other day! It's so hard, because the clothes aren't dirty, yet it doesn't seem right putting them back in the drawer/closet....hmmm, what a dilemma! :)

  3. Pretty outfit indeed. Love the scarf!

I am glad (relieved?) to say that at the moment I am "the pile"-free! I just cleaned my latest one up this morning. Usually I do have mine on a chair ...or hanging on the bathtub. Bad habit, I know, but it certainly makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one!

  4. From the way my mom complains, I thought I was the only one to have a "pile." ;)

I think that outfit looked really cute for spring; leaving the cardigan open and swapping the boots for flats would def make it feel less autumn-y! I love the peachy color of the shirt; I recently bought a lipstick just that color. It seems to be super popular this season...

  5. Oh, I love how you talk of 'The Pile', Paige! So funny as I think most of us can relate to that one! ...And it always tends to grow... Your outfit is so gorgeous and a great inspiration to me as I am enjoying Autmn outfits and colours at the moment.
I love your beautiful scarf - how sweet of your mom! I just added a long denim skirt to my wardrobe which I am really excited about incorporating into my outfits!
Today is a lovely restful day...I am catching up on some blogs while I sip a good cup of coffee...bliss! :)
Have a wonderful day, dear friend and enjoy all that you have planned!
    Hugs,
    Kelly-Anne

    1. Haha! Yes...sometimes I want to wear a different outfit and not wear the same thing two days in a row! Thus grows the pile.
Thank you! :) Mhm, my mom is kind to find fun things for me!
Ooh, it sounds like you've had a beautiful weekend so far!

  6. I'm glad that you been out and about. I love barbecues, birthdays and potluck. I do have a clothes pile but thankfully it never becomes a mountain of clothes. It's just a jacket or two, t-shirts and jeans which only hangs around for a day or so.

  11. I definitely have "the pile" in my room. I got a really cool cubby thing for the end of the bed when I got married. It has two fabric bins in it. I keep my pile in one and my husbands pile in the other. It has worked out really well and kept the piles out of sight!
