Firmoo Glasses Review

Hello friends! Let me tell you how I happen to be posting on a Friday. There were two posts I wanted to publish soon and just today I had a special outfit photoshoot that I can also hardly wait to share. Hence, you get back-to-back Friday/Saturday postings this week! Today's post is extra special already because it is a review for a company called Firmoo! Take a look at the glasses they sent me...

Firmoo.com is an online company which offers stylish glasses available with prescription or non-prescription lenses. I was excited when they asked me to write a review for them! After looking at the frames in the blogger selection, trying them on virtually (which no longer seems to be an option), and asking my mom's opinion, I decided on a pair of retro-style tortoiseshell frames. I uploaded a scan of my prescription from my eye doctor, put in my pupillary distance and ordered my new glasses!

My glasses arrived just nine days after ordering them. I am glad to say that the prescription is just right! This pair is a little bigger than I expected (which probably stemmed from the fact that I forgot which ones I ordered...silly me), but is still cute! The proportions are a bit too large for my face, but not to the extent that it's a problem. Happily, this pair has nose-pads, which means that they can be adjusted to fit the narrow bridge of my nose. Though different from what I normally wear, I like the overall look of these fun frames and hope to feature them in upcoming vintage-style outfits!

These glasses came in a cute and sturdy case, which also contained a lens cleaner. Along with these, I was sent a repair kit and a soft travel pouch. The repair kit consists of a screwdriver on a jumpring, extra screws, and extra nosepads. I appreciate all the handy extras that came with the glasses!

So, the big question is, would I recommend Firmoo to you? Yes, but with a word of caution. Firmoo has fun styles available, prompt customer service, and offers sturdy frames at a decent price. My warning is just to be aware that if you have a petite face the frames might be a little bit big. One can't try glasses on if ordering them online, so keep in mind that it's a risk. Besides that, I have no reason not to recommend this company. Click HERE to see what they have to offer.

    1. My opinion on the glasses: I did notice they seemed a bit bigger than what I'm used to seeing you wear, but I figured it was a fashion statement, and when you mentioned retro it seemed to tie in. Glad you did this review!

  3. I like them so much! Even if they are bigger than expected, they don't come across that way because of the half-rims. They probably should put up pictures of models wearing the glasses on their website for size reference lol.

    1. Thanks Lauren! :) Haha, that would be nice! They had a tool where you could upload a photo of yourself and "try on" the glasses, but it doesn't seem to be there any more.

  12. You clearly have an eye for all things vintage. I love how the frames are so retro; it gives your face some added dimensions and angles. Also, they look geeky but seemingly functional, so I’m sure it would go well on your retro-vintage style. Gorgeous choice!
