Retro Summer Blog Party Outfit!

Hello all! How are you today? I'm happy because it's raining - a long while has passed since I've heard the beautiful sound of raindrops hitting the pavement. I'm also pleased that my summer outfit photos were done long before the rain started! ;)

This blog party look is inspired by what is in my opinion the most summery of retro eras, the 1950's! To begin with, a button-up blouse and full midi skirt made the foundation of the outfit and copied the era's style. A little scarf tied under my collar added interest as well as a Roman Holiday flair. Lace-up wedges proved to be just the right shoes for a 50's summer look. Influenced by retro times, my pony-tail, glasses, and makeup all pulled together this summertime look.

While wearing this outfit I had pleasure of being a landing zone for a beautiful butterfly! It must have thought that my floral skirt was a pretty flower garden. Dad grabbed his phone and took a couple of pictures while the breeze lazily blew my skirt and the stylish bug. Pretty cool, no?

Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
