First Day in Red

Hullo all! How's life been lately? My life has been rather interesting lately, in part because I just started a new job today. Below you'll see what I wore; the skirt and shoes are very familiar, but the top is a new piece that will likely become a go-to item!

Red is a color that I am not usually attracted to as a main clothing item, but this cardigan is an exception. It is an elegant shade, and has darling scalloped edges. For a simple and sophisticated office-wear look, I paired it with a black skirt and shod myself in my trusty black flats. If I ever feel like being extra fancy, I could add some pearls!

Now for the details of my current work situation! As of today, I'm training in the office of a car dealership. For a few months, I will be getting paid by the employment agency that I'm working with, and the company may or may not decide to hire me permanently. The dealership is one of the bigger ones in our area, and to me it seems like a huge, busy place compared to my other experiences!

I had a lot of information put into my brain today, but the person I am replacing will be training me for the next week. Hopefully by this time next week I will not be panicking about doing the job by myself! ;) So, that's what I'm doing right now. Though I'm not sure where it will take me yet, I have embarked on a new adventure.

In closing, happy beginning of spring! It came to my county in true fashion, with huge peals of thunder and pouring rain making an appearance in the wee hours of the 22nd. :) What has the beginning of the season been like for you been?

Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

  1. Great outfit for work, Paige! Congrats on your new job, and I hope all goes well for you! We had some beautiful weather early this week (I was in shirtsleeves doing yard work and helping at the orchard), but yesterday it cooled down significantly, and it has been stormy all night.

  3. Dear Paige, you look pretty in dark red. Congrats on your new job adventure. I hope you like it and it makes you feel good about yourself. A new experience helps us grow and adds to our confidence. Our Spring came with snow flakes. Then wind and rain a true Missouri mixture. Enjoy the rest of your week and Happy Easter;) Stephanie

  6. Cute outift! I really like the cardigan! :)

Well, Spring so far here hasn't been really warm. There actually has only been a couple days that have been warm enough that we can go the park and wear elbow length sleeved shirts! Well, at least that's what I did yesterday. :) Today is the complete opposite from yesterday ... windy and cold! :( But I'm looking forward to more warm days and more beautiful Spring flowers to grow so I can take some pictures!

    2. Well, since we're in England, the weather can do anything really! One day it will be nice and warm, the other day it will be cold! :)

  7. Dear Paige, it's a pleasure to read about your activities. I wish you good luck your job. I'm impressed to read about Christianity and modest clothes in the USA. People of my contry, Germany, don't use modest clothes with frequency, not even in church. Paige, you look so cute. For me, modesty means feminine beauty. I wish you all the best :-), Uerige
