Outfit || Princess

   When I turned three years old, my mother made me a hot pink tutu. Along with a matching veil and pink and teal striped leotard (it was the 90's, ok?) , I was ready to reign. As far as I can recall, that tutu was my first and last piece tulle clothing...until last weekend, that is. While out on a shopping expedition with my mom, I met a brand-new tulle skirt, fit for a grown-up princess.

  A girl need never grow out of dressing like royalty, but these days I'm on to a more, shall we say, sophisticated color scheme? This time, my princess skirt is in rosy-beige hue, rather than hot pink. The fabric has a lovely, flowing drape that avoids looking too much like a dress-up item. Coordinating with the skirt is another find from our shopping day, a pastel pink short-sleeved sweater. Rarely-worn pink lipstick was in order to continue the feminine theme. Simple brown flats keep the outfit casual, though I hope to someday recreate this outfit with a fancier shoe choice!

Do you have an outfit that makes you feel princess-like?

The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty;
The Lord is clothed,
He has girded Himself with strength.
Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved.
Psalm 93:1

  9. That is a very pretty outfit. The tulle skirt looks elegant. I am trying to imagine the hot-pink tutu and pink and teal striped leotard...and I'm smiling! That must have been quite the outfit.

    I loved dressing up and pretending I was royalty when I was little. My grandmother had given me a beautiful pink and lace dress that I liked to wear for dress-up. I remember wearing it to a restaurant one day--and the waitress telling me I looked like a princess.
