Outfit || Stripes 'n' Neutrals

   Hello everyone, how has your weekend been so far? My Saturday has been the first day without great pain for a while. Most of this week I had a terrible toothache, and ended up needing a root canal on Thursday morning! Thankfully, today I have been feeling quite a bit better than I had been (especially after sleeping in!) and was able to go to the beach with my family and enjoy some photography with that perfect overcast lighting. Though sometimes painfully aware that I'm an amateur, behind the lens is one of the places I am happiest - my fellow shutterbugs probably know just what I mean! :)

   Now for today's outfit! A couple of months ago I finally found the perfect khaki pants for work - black just doesn't go with everything. :P After Mom hemmed them, they were ready to wear. Earlier this week I paired the pants with a preppy striped cardigan. This gold and navy number was one of my purchases from last month's trip out of town. To jazz up the outfit a little, I added a sparkly vintage photograph necklace Mom gave me for Christmas. It did hit at the neckline of my sweater, but the colors matched quite well. :)

Have any of you ever had an awful toothache?
What fun things have you been up to this weekend?
I enjoy hearing from you! :)

Lift up your eyes on high
And see who has created these stars,
The One who leads forth their host by number,
He calls them all by name;
Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power,
Not one of them is missing.

  1. A lovely, classy outfit, dear Paige! Just love the combination of the stripey Cardigan and the khaki pants! Ahh....taking photographs on the beach in overcast with is divine. Oh yes! A couple months back I had such bad toothache...turned out it wasn't just a cavity and after I dintknow how many x-rays and dental appointments, I finally had a root canal done - not pleasant! Hope you're feeling much better now, my friend! Good to be visiting with you again....
    Big hugs!

  2. Toothache is awful isn't it - so pleased that you are now feeling better after your visit to the dentist.
    I like your outfit the top blends so well with your pants. I have to wear black trousers or skirts with white tops for work - we don't get a choice as it is our corporate colours.

  3. Sorry to hear you had a bad toothache turned into root canal: ( those are painful. I had a couple I feel your pain. Glad you are doing better!) Lovely cardigan with your new pants looks real nice. I am now working at a Montessori School with 3 and 4 year olds. They are so cute and very eager to learn. They love to do puzzles and water pouring works. Totally enjoy singing songs. Seems like play however they are learning. Have a great week. Stephanie
