January Blossoms

   Happy Saturday, dear readers! Are you enjoying a restful day, catching up on chores, spending the day at work, or just waiting to see what will come? My day is filled with helping to clean our church, blogging, working on a Sunday School lesson, and going to a gathering to fellowship with a friend from out of the area.  Needless to say, it's shaping up to be a busy weekend. :)

   Yesterday, I wore an outfit featuring a dainty brown cardigan, one of my parents' Christmas gifts to me. Paired with a turquoise tank, it went perfectly with my turquoise and brown floral skirt. An aqua scarf for my hair went well with the color palette and inspired me to tease my locks for a slightly 60's look. To complete my outfit, brown boots were in order as the shoe of choice. What with all the brown and blue (even my hair and eyes shared the color scheme!), I had a rather matchy-matchy outfit. Yet with such a fun color combination, how could I go wrong? :)

Do you like to wear perfectly color-coordinated outfits or do you mix and match colors and prints?
What are you up to this weekend?

But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,

My glory and the One who lifts up my head.
I cried to the Lord with my voice,

And He heard me from His holy hill.
I lay down and slept;

I awoke, for the Lord sustained me.

  1. Super cute!
    Yeah...gotta be matchy. I'm like obsessive about it! To the point of "Is this the same shade brown?" Lol! It's weird, but me. I LOVE when other people mix patterns, but I've tried it and just can't.

      Hee hee, everyone has their own taste! Both ways have benefits. :)

  2. Love the skirt's floral print! This weekend for me has been devoted to trying to get well again (and brushing up on my chess skills).
