Adventure is Out There!

Yesterday, I took an adventure with my clothes. You see, though I can be a homebody, there are just some days when I feel like going somewhere else. "Somewhere else" doesn't necessarily have to be far, but even then, "somewhere else" isn't always convenient. There is a way, however, to add a little adventure to life, without leaving the beaten path of life's daily duties.
A clothing adventure may not seem like much, but it has been said that variety is the spice of life. Adding a little variety to one's fashion life can make a girl feel like a world traveler, or even a time traveler. All it took for me yesterday was a big scarf and a long, flowing skirt. Though no one knew of the change but me, it made my afternoon of errands in the coastal winter weather into a day of adventures under stormy skies.

This adventurous outfit features a dark chambray tunic tucked under my trusty tiered maxi skirt. A faux leather and crocheted belt cinches in my waist and keeps the tunic in place. The crowning element of this outfit is a huge printed square scarf that I tied bandanna style and coaxed into a pleasing shape. Next, a dutch braid keeps with the adventure flavor. Adding a bit more pizzazz is a cameo cocktail ring. Last but not least, boots are the perfect finishing touch for this winter look.
