Noir et Blanc

Hello ladies! It's a sunny and breezy Saturday evening in my corner of the world. For now, the house is still, but it awaits the entrance of friends for one of our birthday party game nights. We hope to soon enjoy laughter and fellowship. But for now, I blog. :)

Today's outfit is the conjoint effort of my mom and I. I was having one of those days in which nothing was really hitting me and my clothes all looked "blah". Mom and I ended up trading black and white striped tees (I didn't like the way mine fit). She suggested that I wear it with my black skirt and black flats. To complete the look all I had to do was add a cameo pendant necklace and pull back some hair.

Once again, I'm wearing the Parisian look. The stripes and simplicity of the classic French style is appealing to me at this point in my life. I thought a French phrase for the title would be fitting. :)

What styles have you been liking lately?
Do you have any fun plans for this weekend?

  4. I really like your necklace! Just curious, do you ever mousse or gel your hair? It looks like it has a lot of natural curl so I thought you might. If you do, which one do you like better? I have curly hair (permed) and like to get other's tips on products and care.

    1. Thanks Lydia! :) Ooh, have fun with curly hair.
Well, more often than not I don't use product on my hair. Sometimes I scrunch in Fructis gel when it's wet (currently that's their super stiff gel, though I've used another variety) - this enhances the curl. In the past I've used a Nourishing Coconut product from Organix ...it might have been mousse. I know there was one kind of mousse I liked.

  8. Such an elegantly simple outfit, Paige! The flats look great with it. Saturday I was at a chess tournament, and Sunday was pretty normal. I did get some good games of pig basketball in with my youngest sister.
