Neutrals + Prints

Hello all! By the time this goes live, I will be an hour away from supporting a lovely lady as one of her bridesmaids! We would appreciate your prayers that all goes smoothly. Meanwhile, enjoy some weekend blog reading, courtesy of myself and whatever super bloggers you follow. :)

Working in an office has been fun for my fashion sense, as I have the opportunity to dress nicely every day. That is, I dress in the casual-but-classy style I have already been wearing, but it now seems slightly more purposeful. ;) On Wednesday, I put together this outfit that has a subtle print mix as well as cool-toned neutrals. I must admit that it looked better in my mind's eye than it did in real life - ever have days like that?

I began by pairing my striped boat-neck tee (sailor tees = a quick and easy chic) with my beloved gray A-line skirt. I added a dark blue knit blazer and black tights. My accessory for the day was a light mauve scarf with tiny polka dots. The print is quite small and different from the top, so they mixed well. To completely the outfit, I donned my go-to black boots. Later in the day I swapped my blazer for a navy cardigan and belt, all ready for a bride + maids girls-night-in. Hurray for versatility!

What are you up to this weekend?

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
