Boho Spring

   Hello there! Another week, another holiday, another blog post...time keeps passing by! We've only two days left to March, so the next time I write you, it will be with April greetings. Perhaps sometime this spring I will sneak in some floral backdrops for blog shoots. I've just got to find the time and/or energy...;)

    On Sunday, I decided to put together an outfit featuring my latest clothing purchase, a ruffly lace vest. It is very pretty and just right for a spring-themed ensemble. I layered it over a ruffle-embellished mauve blouse, and wore a dark blue skirt. I used a skinny gray belt to cinch in the waist. Brown boots were worn out-of-doors. Completed, the outfit combined both bohemian and classic elements into a look unique to myself.

Outfit Details: Blouse ~ Consignment or Thrift Store; Vest ~ Thrifted; Skirt ~ Hand-me-down;
Belt ~ Consignment or Thrift Store; Boots ~ Ross

   Today I had a short day at work, as the person training me alternately works eight and two hour days. I will later be working afternoons, which suits me just fine, as I'm not a morning person. Now I'm enjoying some time to rest. Eventually I'll finish tuning my dulcimer - what normally takes part of one day is being spread across three days! Though I really enjoy playing it, tuning is...not my favorite. ;) Meanwhile, I blog. :)

What have you been up to this day?
What is something that you put off doing because you really don't want to?

 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

  1. What a great outfit! I too ended up wearing boots for Easter as I was up early and it was chilly! I love your dedication to the Dulcimer. How nice that you have that skill!

    1. Thanks Lexi! Oh, I'm glad I wasn't the only booted girl that day. ;) Thanks! It's tough work learning from the ground up, but it's worth it.

  3. Dear Paige, such a pretty lace vest, accents your outfit perfectly. We went to Meramec Spring in St. James, Missouri today. Beautiful sunny day to walk among the fish hatchery,old blast furnaces for mining iron ore. Had a BBQ at our favorite picnic spot over looking the fishermen below. Glad to hear you are still enjoying your Dulcimer, looking forward to hear you play again. Have a good rest of your week;) Stephanie

  5. Sounds like you are keeping busy! Glad to hear you got a shift that works well for you. Tuning a dulcimer does not sound like fun. I have all that I can handle with the six strings on my guitar!

    This day is just starting, but yesterday, my family and I went to Sac and Fox Overlook, just a few miles from my home. There is a huge hill down from the overlook into the Iowa River valley, where there is a pond. Since several of my family members are runners, they went to the overlook for hill training--and ran up the hill several times. I brought along my camera and did some shooting of the area. Just walking up the hill was a challenge!
    Speaking of procrastination, it's past time for my weekly room cleaning! :)
    You look lovely as usual. Thanks for sharing this lovely boho outfit.

      Haha! I guess it's probably harder to keep a room clean when you aren't the only one messing it up. :)
