Outfit || Sky Blue & New Shoes

   Hello all! I hope you're having a great start to your week. Indeed, Monday can feel a little...Mondayish...but truly, the week goes by quickly and on Friday we are almost sad to leave behind the industrious, scheduled days of work, school and whatnot (or at least, I am ;)). Happily, I am feeling motivated in my blogging this Monday evening, and I hope that you are motivated to read! ;)

   A classic, administrative look, today's outfit features the two newest items of my closet and shoe-shelf. First is a button up blouse which Mom picked up at a consignment store for me last week. It has a lovely sky-blue color, making it perfect for summer days. Because it has belt loops and is a little big, I used my wide black belt around the waist. I paired a dark blue skirt with the top, keeping the cool color palette.

  The next new thing is my pair of Earth brand shoes. You see, as long as I can remember, my heels have hurt when standing or walking for extended periods of time; A big part of the issue is that I put my weight on my heels when I walk. A month or so ago, my feet were hurting at work, and I began to think about getting quality shoes. Two weekends ago I went to a shoe store and brought home these black leather flats. They aren't as streamlined as what I normally wear, but they are so comfy and have super cute punch-work. I would definitely recommend getting good shoes if you find yourself on your feet a lot - it's totally worth it!

Have you ever had any problems with foot pain? Did you buy shoes to help?

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,  that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
1 Peter 1:6- 7

  1. What a lovely blouse! Nice color, looks perfect with the darker blue skirt. The belt finished your professional business style. I say, I do like those Earth brand shoes. cute punch-work you don't see that a lot, very stylish. I found wearing heels made my feet hurt. So I wear Keds Taylor Swift style. They are feminine and go with dresses well. I like the scripture verse. It really made me think how precious and important our relationship is with God. Enjoy seeing your happy smile. Off to a good start for the week;) Stephanie

  4. Very nice outfit, Paige! I like the classy, professional look. When I started running I was still wearing my cheap walking shoes from Walmart. Actually running long distances in them hurt my feet--I ended up with purple toenails (not fun). So...I finally gave in and bought $70 Nike running shoes--which have made a wonderful difference. Suffering is just not worth it. So glad you got shoes that work well for you!

I hope you've been well...? What a gorgeous outfit...I love how classy it is, especially with the belt! You always put together such elegeant ensembles, my friend! I have been very inspired by you and have finally started pairing things together nicely! {{smiles}}
