Waiting for Winter

H'lo all! How has your week been so far? Mine has so far consisted of still trying to shake this cold, while getting back into normal weekly stuff, as well as attending a medieval festival!
Last week in the throes of illness (obviously we weren't at death's door) Mom thought it would be fun to style a couple of outfits for me and do a photo shoot. Both of the winsome ensembles she put together have a wintry look, and as the air is beginning to chill a bit, they can be made use of before too long! Onward to the first outfit...

This look is something I might wear for church the week of Christmas or a dressier Christmas party. The floor-length taffeta skirt and shiny black heels give it a formal air, while the turtleneck sweater and bouncy silver scarf dress it down. An extra bit of pizzazz is added by these fun lace ankle socks borrowed from Mom (a friend called them "exotic"). All in all, it makes a cozy, yet festive look.

What do you think of Mom's styling job? I'll feature her next creation next week.
Do you ever let your mom, sister, or a girlfriend put together outfits for you?

She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
~Proverbs 31:21
