Liebster // Spring Colors

Hello all! Today's post is going to be a little different for two reasons. First, the lovely Bethany of Liberty or Death tagged me for another Liebster award (thanks Bethany!). Second, my outfit is a slight fashion stretch for me. It features a unique color combo of yellow and aqua, and uses a silky skirt used for casual wear. Spring is the time to try new things right? :) Oh, and I also pinned up my bangs, which I rarely do...it was probably time to mix things up. ;)

Outfit Details: T-shirt ~ Thrifted? refashioned by Mom; Cardigan ~ Consignment; Skirt ~ Made by Mom; Belt ~ Thrifted; Leggings ~ Walmart?; Shoes ~ Target

1.  Would you share a favorite quote and a favorite Bible verse?
"My memory is nearly gone;
but I remember two things;
That I am a great sinner, and
that Christ is a great Saviour."
~John Newton (It's as true for me as it was for him!)
I have a few favorite Bible verses. One is Romans 8:38-39. <3
2.  What would you like to accomplish before the year is over? That's a good question! I'd like to be a proficient highway driver.
3.  What is your ancestry (e.g. German, Italian)? Mexican, Italian, Irish, German, Swedish, Scottish. It'sc an odd combination!
4.  What is your favourite genre of music? Contemporary Christian (but not so much "worship" bands and artists).
5.  Do you have a favorite bird or flower? My favorite flower is the daffodil.
6.  What is the most encouraging thing anyone has ever told you/or that you've ever read?  That's a good question!
7.  What is your go-to meal for when you need to cook something quickly? Annie's brand boxed mac & cheese.
8.  Do you have a favorite word? Right now it's "quite".
9.  What is your favorite tv series? I don't actually have one. I'm more of a movie girl.
10. If you could have a gift card to any clothing store, including online, what would it be for? I would say ModCloth, but I actually have a giftcard for them right now that I keep procrastinating about using (pathetic, I know). If I were to get another one it would be for Shabby Apple.
11. If I were to visit you in your hometown, what would be the first place you'd want me to see? I would take you to the redwoods.

Today I'm tagging anyone who wants to answer! Simply comment with your answers below or feel free to post on your blog. :) Your questions are below.

1. What movie have you seen more than any other?
2. If you could be in a costume drama, what era would it be from?
3. Do you feel more at home in front of a camera, behind the camera or far away from any camera?
4. What are you feelings on exercise?
5. Are you the kind of person who reads a manual or presses random buttons?
6. Are your closest friends a lot like you, the opposite of you are a mix of both?
7. Would you rather plan your own party or have someone throw a surprise party for you?
8. Are horses beautiful, majestic creatures or giant fearsome beasts?
9. Cake or ice cream?
10. Cats or dogs?
11. Silver or gold?

What do you think of wearing dressier fabrics as casual wear?

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
II Corinthians 5:17

  1. That's a very fun outfit, and I really like the skirt! Thanks for answering my questions, Paige!

Your ancestry is quite varied (as is mine)! I think the combination turned out very well!
The redwoods would be so neat to see--and mac and cheese sounds good! Maybe I should start planning a visit!

I think the movie I've seen more than any other is Gary Cooper's Sergeant York. We had a tradition of watching it every New Year's Eve, and when we first got it we watched it several times. The only competition for that would probably be the Goliath scene from a David movie, The Sound of Music, and The Inn of the Sixth Happiness.

I feel most at home behind the camera. I read manuals, would usually take cake unless the ice cream is mint chip, would choose dogs over cats, and gold over silver. I'd say horses are beautifully majestic, and I'll take a party any way it comes. ;)

    1. Thanks Bethany! You are most welcome for answering the questions.
Yes, that would be a fun visit...who knows, it could happen. someday ;)
Thank you for answering my questions! I like all of the movies you mentioned except the David movie, which I have never seen. Which version is it?
It sounds like you and I think the same way about dogs and horses. ;)

    2. I don't remember which David movie it is. We didn't really like it except for the Goliath scene, which we watched over and over. :D

  3. Anyone else think this award should be renamed the "Ping-Pong Award"? It bounces back and forth just like a ping-pong ball. :)

Oooh! ModCloth and Shabby Apple are both wonderful places to shop! I love their clothing.

I had fun reading your answers Paige!

Yay! They are fun places, though I don't have anything from either of them...yet.
      Thanks!

    Cheers!

I'm not sure, but that's a good question. I know Liebster is "darling" in German.

Thank you for answering the questions. It was fun to learn more about you! By the 5th question I mean do you press buttons on a new camera or read the instruction manual to see what to do?

      Delete
    2. Oh I see. I think I press buttons more then reading a manual. :) I use my mom's big camera and I don't think she has intructions for it, so I figured it out on my own. :) If I get a nice big camera someday I'm sure I will read the instructions!

    3. Okay! :) My mom pointed out to me that you were probably being sarcastic with that question. Oops, sorry! I guess my brain wasn't working properly.

      Delete
    4. No actually I didn't know what a manual was! So its ok! :) :) I'm 15 so I don't know that much about a camera! :)

    5. Oh, ok! I guess it worked out fine for me to clarify then. :) And the question could be for an instruction manual for a camera or anything else with buttons and such. :D

  7. I love the spring colors in your outfit! I can totally relate to your second answer on the liebster questions. I have had my license for 9 years and I still don't like driving on the highway. Moving to a new area has not helped that at all!

    1. What movie have you seen more than any other?
    --The Sound of Music
    2. If you could be in a costume drama, what era would it be from?
--Oh boy...too many to choose. The one where I could wear the most petticoats. I've always wanted to make a petticoat.
    3. Do you feel more at home in front of a camera, behind the camera or far away from any camera?
--I like being both in front of and behind the camera.

    4. What are you feelings on exercise?
--I should be doing more of it.
    5. Are you the kind of person who reads a manual or presses random buttons?
--I look at the pictures in the manual.

    6. Are your closest friends a lot like you, the opposite of you are a mix of both?
--My best friend and I are actually not all that similar, but we've been friends for almost 14 years!

    7. Would you rather plan your own party or have someone throw a surprise party for you?
--I think I'd rather have it be a surprise. I like to be in control, but too much decision making gets stressful.

    8. Are horses beautiful, majestic creatures or giant fearsome beasts?
--They are beautiful and majestic! And I want to ride a horse!

    9. Cake or ice cream?
    --CAKE!

    10. Cats or dogs?
    --Definitely dogs.

    11. Silver or gold?
I like white gold/silver colored things better.

    :)

    1. Thanks Jill! Oh, good I'm glad to not be the only one. I haven't had my licence for a year yet, so there's time to learn. ;)
Yay, it was fun reading the answers to your questions! :D I'm finding more things we have in common. My best friend and I are opposites in many ways, but we've been friends for over 10 years!
