Think Pink!

Hi all! Well, last week's "surprise" is here...sort of. ;) The big purchase I mentioned last week was A NEW CAMERA LENS. As it turns out, I found out some interesting news the day after posting. A friend from our home school group recently made the switch from Nikon to Olympus and had several old lenses. He's letting me try them out, then buy what I like. :) Today's outfit photos are courtesy the 70-200 mm lens. It does great blurry backgrounds, which is just the ticket for fashion bloggers!

Today's outfit features a pink graphic tee that I found when Mom and I went shopping at the mall a couple of weeks ago. It was high time that I got more pink in my wardrobe! Pairing the top with my black and gray chevron skirt seemed like the natural thing to do. Because of the tee's shape, it needed a black braided belt to cinch in the waist. Leggings and ballet flats complete the outfit. This outfit has me thinking that black and pink are a great combination. :)

Outfit Details: T-shirt ~ Ross; Skirt ~ Thrifted; Belt ~ Thrifted; Leggings ~ Borrowed From Mom; Shoes ~ Never can remember ;)

This photo was also taken with the 70-200 mm lens. I'm liking the bokeh a lot!

What are your feelings on the color pink?
Have you made any exciting new photography discoveries lately?

  1. Well, you know someone in my household that approves of the color pink! Lol.

  2. Very fun outfit! I do like the flower picture as well--nice background! I like pink in theory, though I seldom wear it (it doesn't seem the most flattering color on me; people I know with darker hair seem to wear it better).

  4. Lens! That's funny I didn't guess it was that! :) I'm jealous now! ;) haha! Just kidding! I love blurry backrounds!!!!! :) I use my mom's big camera, but you can't attach other lens onto it, so its not a really fancy camera like the one you have. It can take good pictures though! Love your outfit. And one of my favourite colours is pink. Lots of our house is pink colour ....... light pink, mind you, because my mom likes the colour too!! My other favourite colours are baby blue and light brown.

    2. It sounded like I was saying that the whole house is pink, but its not. Mainly the living room and dining room. But they aren't covered with pink ... just here and there! :)

  5. Well, I was close with my guess! The last two pictures are very well taken. The focus is where it should be and everything else is blurry.

Pink...I have to say I don't care much for it. I love coral but pink is still not on my favorites list.

  12. Pink and black are one of my favorite "girly" color combinations, but I can't pull it off! :( When I wear pinks or reds now, my auburn hair has to fight hard to offset the red in my clothes. Brunettes though, like you, look amazing in those two colors though! Have fun with them.
Excited for you and your new camera lens too!

It's too bad you can't pull off the pink, but hey....you have auburn hair, so it's worth it, right? ;)
