September Travel Style

Good evening, folks! I am returned from a three-day weekend getaway that included photography, fresh air, good eats, shopping and - can you guess? - buying clothes! Of course, the little vacation also had to include some outfit shots. Fashion bloggers are (almost) always ready!

The first part of the trip consisted of driving, car trouble, looking at a river and a bridge, then spending the evening in the hotel watching t.v. and eating. I spent the day in my quintessential navy skirt, a striped tee, and flat yellow sandals. A wee Dutch braid and an inside-out ponytail added a bit of hair pizzazz. It was a simple but cute look.

On Sunday, we drove into Ashland, Oregon, and went shopping at a favorite consignment store. We then acquired a room at a nearby resort, and spent time wandering through and photographing the pretty grounds. After some resting, we headed back into town for a little bit of shopping, walking through Lithia Park, and enjoying the edibles.

That day, I wore rolled-up jeans, a sporty teal t-shirt, and sandals. My accessory for day was a blue headband. The scarf in the above photo was one of the things I bought in Ashland, but it was too hot to wear more than a wee bit soon after I bought it, and then for photos. Perhaps someday I can pair this top and scarf together for real!

On Monday morning, we headed to a town called Grant's Pass for some shopping before beginning our journey home. There are beautiful old buildings in Grant's Pass, some of which I photographed. Inside them you can find eclectic shops, restaurants, and cafes.

I felt like my outfit game was on with a high bun-and-scarf-updo, a cardigan layered over a graphic tee, a navy skirt, and the returning yellow sandals. A mural painted wall made a super background for the ensemble. Real life isn't immaculate though - in keeping with my klutzy and slightly awkward self, my bun was lopsided and starting to fall out. ;)

I hope you enjoyed my travel outfits and photography! It's nice to see something other than my street, right? ;) Happy stylin' to the rest of your week!

Have you been out of town recently?

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

  3. It does look like a fun trip! "Out-of-town" for me is really the equivalent "out-of-countryside," as technically I live out of town, so trips are often to town. But anyway...my latest adventure was to the Turning Hearts Festival in Kalona, Iowa--Music, speakers/preachers (Ted Cruz' father for one), chess, jamming (which I just listened to), and volleyball!
