Color Pop

Happy Thanksgiving eve to my U.S. friends, and happy (almost, for me) Friday to my international friends! California's sweater season has finally come, and I have a sweaterificant outfit to share with you today. It also proves that I really do wear colors other than blue. ;)

Blogger photos on Pinterest inspired me to put together this autumnal outfit, though it's far more brightly colored than the inspiration. ;) To achieve a floral skirt look, I used a slip dress that I've owned since my early teens. Over the dress, I layered a cozy pink turtleneck, which I've also had for several years. A black belt, purple knee socks and a slouchy beret completed the indoor version of the outfit. When going to my volunteer job, a faux leather jacket and black boots protected me from the elements!

An artsy shot of the apple pie Mom and I made. It doesn't look perfect, but it will be yummy!
Well, I wasn't prepared with anything Thanksgiving related to say today. I will just remind you and me to say "Thank you" to God for the good He has given us nd the grace He has shown us. We don't have to be American to thank the Lord, and we don't even have to limit it to one day - in fact, we shouldn't! :)

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

  2. You look warm and bright Paige! I, like you, usually wear blue so today I plan to change things up a bit and wear orange. A good Thanksgiving color but not the best on me since I'm pale and blue eyed. :)

    1. Thanks muchly! :) Ooh, enjoy your orange. My mom is fair-skinned (not quite as pale and more freckled than me though) and blue-eyed and she wears orange all the time. But it is her favorite color. :)
