Outfit || Valentine's Fashion

  Well readers, Valentine's Day has come and gone, but do not think it passed without this blogger putting together an apropos outfit! You may also be sure that I did not to pass up the opportunity to eat chocolate, especially that which was gifted to me by my sweet parents. I may not have had a "Valentine" in the modern sense of the word, but was thankful to have a mom and dad who love me very much, and a little dog who always wants my attention. ;)

   This ensemble has all the Valentiney aspects I could fit in without straying into the territory of "ridiculous". A pink cardigan and burgundy tights incorporated the traditional color scheme. Freshwater pearls, lace-trinmed boot cuffs and a flower hair clip (not shown) added feminine frills. A pencil skirt and sleek updo kept the look work-appropriate.

   Okay, now to share the big news - I bought my first car! Actually, I bought it at Christmastime, but it's better to tell you late than never, right? ;) Thanks to everyone for sharing their well-wishes and prayers when I mentioned car-buying a while back. When God's timing was right, this used Honda Fit showed up where I work. Not only is it a beauty, but an all around great car for my current needs...and her name is Ladybug. ;)

   I hope you all have a lovely weekend coming up! Don't forget to participate in the polls on the sidebar if they apply to you (see my last post for details). Happy stylin'!

For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.  For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8

  3. That car is indeed a beauty! Love how you named her ladybug! Wow. You already have green grass and blooming trees? That is completely awesome. Today we had lovely weather--in the 60s, nothing like our usual Iowa February! So, I'm happy here.

    That is a nice outfit, and very appropriate for the day.
    Hope you are enjoying a lovely weekend.

    1. Thank you! :) Haha, yes! It's much greener here in the winter than in the summer, and we've been having an abundance of rain lately. These flowering trees usually bloom in February. Ooh, it sounds like you had a nice, warm day in Iowa! :D
      Happy you like the outfit! :D

    Ladybug looks great. I have never had a red car - for some reason most of mine have been white Fords!
