Christmas Day Outfit! // Last Post of 2014!

Hi friends! Can you believe that tomorrow is the last day of 2014?! What a year! It has been full of new experiences and milestones, and is a year that I won't soon forget. I'm excited to be wrapping up my first full year with Sunday Best, and even polished up my layout to kick off 2015. So, here's one last outfit post for 2014 as I look forward to a brand new set of twelve months in which to live and to blog. :)

On Christmas day, I forsook the classy casual look of the night before for a more rustic, vintage-inspired ensemble. My starting point for the outfit was a prettily patterned moss green dress. What was I to wear with it? Christmas gifts from my parents solved the indecision. I knew I just had to wear the new gray polka dotted tights with my dress. They matched perfectly with a charcoal-colored cardigan that I had recently acquired. A lighter gray tank was also part of my gift, so I wore that in keeping with the theme. The darling necklace with which I accessorized was a fun stocking-stuffer handmade by Mom. I put my hair in a purposely messy french braid updo that seemed appropriate for the outfit's theme. Last but not least, my heeled oxfords were the ideal shoe to define this as a rustic and retro Christmas look.
Our day was full, with both busy and relaxing moments. We were home in the morning, having a leisurely breakfast and opening our stockings. In the afternoon, we had lunch with some dear friends and enjoyed a time of refreshing at their home. That evening, we went to my grandparents house to visit my mom's family. By the time we got home, it was long past the setting of the sun, hence you get to see more indoor photos. ;)
