Thanksgiving Outfit

   It's the first week of December everyone...wait...what?! Another year has just absolutely flown by. It's already time again for cozy evenings with hot chocolate, the smell of spices in the air, Christmas carols, and going to sleep under a huge mound of blankets. Before I get too ahead of myself, take a look at what I wore for Thanksgiving.

   This year, I went off the beaten path of wearing all autumn colors. The pink flowers and brown-gold leaves on my midi skirt have more of a springtime look. However, the colors went well with my sunny yellow sweater, which works well with both spring and fall. The burgundy camisole decided my outfit as an autumnal ensemble, as did my leather belt with little acorns carved on it. It doesn't shout "Thanksgiving!" but has a cheerful look that is apt for the season of celebration.
   Now for a behind-the-scenes note - these photos were actually taken the day after Thanksgiving! Though my darling oxfords looked great with my outfit, what I really wore on the holiday were bright pink socks, one of which had a bleach stain (dinner was at our house and my feet were cold :P). Also, I forgot to put on the necklace that I wore on Thursday for the photoshoot on Friday. So,you see, the fashion blogger's life is not always as well-thought-out as it looks. ;)

What do you look forward to this December?
Did you wear something quite autumnal or less traditional this Thanksgiving?

The sun shall no longer be your light by day,

Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you;
But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light,
And your God your glory.

Isaiah 60:19

  2. Very beautiful outfit, Paige! The floral print on the skirt is lovely, and everything matches and suites you perfectly!

    December is my month for getting everything done before the New Year, so that's pretty much what I'm looking forward to--a lot of work! :D

    My extended family dresses pretty casually for holidays, so I didn't wear anything particularly special.

    I have a question for you. What kind of foundation/concealer do you use or would you recommend? I've been looking for a natural brand.

    1. Thanks Kathryn! :D
      Lately, I've been using Maybelline's "Super Stay 24" concealer, which is not natural. I tried one or two others this year, but this has been this best. I use foundation and powder either alternately or in different areas of my face. My foundation is Almay's "line-smoothing liquid makeup", which is not natural. However, my powder is mineral-based; It's by Mineral Wear and is their pressed "Talc-free mineral Oh So Radiant! Powder". I've been happy with it. All of these are from Target. Hope that helps!
