Modern Lizzie

   This week's "Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday" post has become a Thursday post, thanks to some technical difficulties with our internet provider! Though this could not be helped, I happily had some time this stormy afternoon to share my outfit! And so, now I blog, sipping tea, soaking up the warmth of a space heater, and gazing out the foggy living room window as I write.

   On Tuesday, I knew that I needed a spiffy new look for the blog. Because it was my office volunteer day, I was afforded a good opportunity to wear a smart outfit without fear of dirtying it. After paring a pink lace blouse with a full blue skirt, I used a skinny gray belt on the top, matching the tank beneath the blouse. A cameo cocktail ring added a bit of unique pizzazz. Lastly, a denim crop jacket and black boots maintained a cool color scheme and kept me warm. My look was a sort of modern-day Lizzie Bennet look...with riding boots borrowed from Mr. Darcy. ;)

   December is shaping up to be rather a busy month for me! There's Christmas and Christmas Eve, preceded by Christmas parties, the first of which is tonight! A close friend is getting married next month, so I will be attending her bridal shower this weekend. On an undisclosed day this month I am also having a birthday. In between all these events are the readying of gifts and planning of friend dates...phew! Maintaining sanity is the goal here. ;)

What are you up to this month?
Are you spending your days busily or quietly?

Let us know,
Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord.
His going forth is established as the morning;
He will come to us like the rain,
Like the latter and former rain to the earth.
Hosea 6:3

  1. Paige, you are right this is a busy month. Just celebrated our son's 25th birthday Monday in which I made lasagna with cheese garlic bread,yum. Just made Butterfinger cookies and dipped pretzels in almond bark to take to our other son and daughters-in law's Christmas party this Saturday. Whew it's just the beginning. The best part is being together and enjoying each others company! Hope you have a good time. Blessings Stephanie M.
