'Twas the Sunday Before Christmas...

   Greetings all! :) I do believe this is my last post before Christmas. Therefore, I want to start out by wishing all of you who celebrate the holiday a MERRY CHRISTMAS! In the midst of all the fun of lights, good food, family, friends, and gifts, do remember to think of Jesus and thank Him for coming to earth as one of us. He is the reason for every season!

  Being the week of Christmas, I had to dress up a bit festively this Sunday - I also had the incentive of needing blog material. ;) The outfit I had originally picked out didn't work that morning so I instead decided on this cute red dress (see it here and here). Because it's quite short, I wore it with my black skirt underneath it. Black Mary Jane heels became my shoe of choice, while I accessorized with a pearl necklace. The outfit turned out to be simple yet elegant, with a distinct Christmas flair!

Outfit Details: Dress ~ Gift; Tank ~ Thrift or Consignment Store; Skirt ~ Thrift or Consignment Store; Necklace ~ Gift; Shoes ~ Target?

   For special music at church, I played my first ever public dulcimer solo! My selection was "What Child is This" and though I was nervous and made mistakes, people appreciated it. Later that day, I had my Mom help me film it at home (with less mistakes!) so I could share with you! :D Because I uploaded straight from my computer to the post, the song had to be in three parts, and it is not of the best quality, so please forgive that. Enjoy!

What did you think of the song?
What is/are your favorite Christmas carol(s)?

 For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

  7. I like that dress Paige! I especially liked it the way you styled it in February of 2015.
    You're sounding pretty good on the hammer dulcimer! Thanks for sharing that video!
    My favorite Christmas songs are probably "What Child is This", and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen". For the most part though I like all Christmas songs that are about Christ, the reason for the holiday. ;)

    1. Thank you! :) Heh...I actually skipped a verse when I played it for you, and because of switching the arrangement, it was the one in the higher key that you watched on here.
