Lost and Found

Wood smoke floating past the window...leaves rustling in the wind...gray clouds set against a pale sky...the warm feeling of a space heater blowing on my feet...it's must be a Saturday afternoon in December! I have dinner and a play with a friend to look forward to tonight, and a wool skirt to keep me warm. For now, I cozily blog. What are you seeing and doing this fine day?

This outfit is one of my personal favorites thus far! A couple of weeks ago I put this top and skirt together and knew I had to feature it on the blog sometime. The cute nautical tee was a thrift store item that my bestie messaged me a picture of while she was shopping. It says "Found", and while I'm not sure what the designer meant by that, I can interpret it as meaning I've been found by God. ;)

The tee looks great paired with a cozy plaid skirt - plaid skirts are quite a handy fashion item for Fall and Winter! A black braided belt pulls the look together, while a gray cardi adds stylish warmth. Black boots keep the color palette cool, and make for a warm shoe choice. When I go out later, I'll add my cozy brown jacket!

Outfit Details: Tee ~ Thrift Store; Cardigan ~ Thrift or Consignment Store; Skirt ~ Bought from a friend; Belt ~ Thrift Store; Boots ~ Sears

What are some of your favorite fall/winter items?

"'It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’”
Luke 15:32 (a quote from the father of the prodigal son)

  4. Love your interpretation of the "found" on your shirt! Everywhere I go I pay attention to all the leather boots I see ladies wearing; it's starting to inspire me to buy another pair!

    1. Thanks Bethany! Oh yes, boots are just...<3 My genuine leather pair has a broken zipper, which would cost more to fix than it was to just buy new boots. O.o
