Liebster Award
Greetings! Instead of having an Awkward and Awesome post today, I'm posting the Liebster Award. The Award is a fun way to encourage other bloggers, get to know them better, and discover new blogs, specifically those with less than 200 followers. I was nominated for the Liebster by the lovely ladies Sarah of All Things Vintage and Ireland of Ireland Rhea. Give their blogs a look if you haven't already! :)
My Answers to Sarah's Questions:
1. Which vacation would you prefer; in the mountains or at the beach? Well, I live right on the coast, so I enjoy vacationing in the mountains. I do love the coast though, so I think I would vacation at the beach, but just a different one than where I live. ;)
Liebster Award Rules:
Acknowledge the blog that nominated you.
Answer the 11 questions the nominating blogger created.
List 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers that deserve some recognition.
Write 11 questions for them to answer.
Notify them they've been nominated.

2. What is your dream car? I think I would like a cobalt blue convertible, maybe a Mustang, that I would drive whilst wearing big white sunglasses, red lipstick, and a head scarf. ;)
3. If you had a choice between ice cream or cake; which would you choose? Ice cream!
4. What's your favorite Jane Austen novel? If you've never read an Austen novel what's the last book you read? Sense and Sensibility.
5. How do you like to drink your tea{hot, with cream n' sugar, cold with lemon, etc.}? Hot tea is my favorite, and what I put in it depends on what kind it is. Chai teas and stuff like rooibos needs a little milk, and green teas need honey.

6. Are you a cat or dog person or both? Dog person!
7. When you have some free time you...? Look at books on various topics (such as fashion and photography) from the library, read fictional books, surf Facebook, practice photography, visit with friends, and go on the occasional walk.
8. Favorite type of food{Italian, Mexican, Chinese, etc.}? This is a tough one, because I like all sorts of food. Though I haven't had it in restaurants, I think my favorite food to make is Indian and Far East food like chicken curry and coconut rice.
9. Do you have any siblings; how many? I have been an only child all my life, but do have a sister in heaven who was stillborn before I was born.
10. What is one of your most memorable/favorite vacations? We go on vacations (usually not too far from home) every year, and there are several favorites. Since this is limited to one, I'm going with our trip to the Grand Canyon four years ago. It was the longest road trip I've ever taken, and my first time in Arizona. The Canyon is such a beautiful place, and you don't get a real sense of the scale until you get there!

My Answers To Ireland's Questions:
1. What is the one thing you do everyday, almost without fail? Read something, my Bible if nothing else, and usually at least a little bit of whatever novel I'm on.
2. What do you like most about where you live? I live in what I believe to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, with the ocean and mighty trees and farmland. The West Coast is lovely. :)
3. What would you like to accomplish by the end of 2014? Getting my driver's license.
4. What's the last book you read that you would HIGHLY recommend me? That's a hard one, because I've been working through books at a snail's pace lately (even if I do read them every day!), that I've forgotten what I've read.............. Treasure Island was good, but I'm not sure that I would HIGHLY recommend it.
5. Your favorite style of music? Contemporary Christian.
6. One thing about you that you want the world to know? Just because I'm quiet doesn't mean that I'm not very interested in what is going on around me. ;)
7. Quick! Pick one. Winter, spring, summer, or fall. Gah, I like them all.....Fall!
8. What is your view on staying healthy... inside and out? I believe that staying healthy is important - after all, a Christian's body is the temple of the Lord - but I also believe that health can become an idol and an obsession. Having good spiritual health is definitely important.
9.
If your blog has to do with fashion, who is your favorite celebrity in
terms of style inspiration? If your blog has nothing to do with that,
then what is your favorite sport to watch on TV? Audrey Hepburn, probably. I don't really pay much attention to wthat modern celebs are wearing.
10. Who do you look up to when it comes to keeping the faith? My parents, wise friends who have kept the faith through it all, and people such as Gladys Alward, Richard Wurmbrand, and Elisabeth Elliot.
10. Who do you look up to when it comes to keeping the faith? My parents, wise friends who have kept the faith through it all, and people such as Gladys Alward, Richard Wurmbrand, and Elisabeth Elliot.
11. How has your relationship with God changed who you are as a person? My relationship with God defines my entire worldview, how I behave, what I spend my time on, who I spend my time with, how I treat others, and of course, my hope for eternity. This isn't to say that I'm not constantly slipping up, forgetting to be mindful of God, it is my hope to have my life reflect Him in everything.
