Anchors Aweigh!

Happy weekend one and all! I hope you're enjoying this last day of May....wait...tomorrow is June?! Summer is just a few weeks away. It's time to break out the sunscreen, frisbees and nautical inspired clothes! Yup, summer is the perfect time to wear stripes, patriotic colors and whatever else floats your boat (pardon the pun).

Why this sudden interest in nautical clothes? Well, I've actually liked the theme for a while, but haven't had anything in my wardrobe that fit it. Enter the navy and white striped canvas slip-on shoes that I bought last Sunday. I built my outfit around these shoes yesterday, wearing my flared jeans that somewhat remind me of sailor style pants. A white and yellow top was in keeping with the striped theme, and added a little sunshine to the ensemble. A new scarf completed the look, doing its duty as a hairband.

So what have you all been up to this weekend? Thus far, I've been kept on my toes. Last night, we met with our Bible study group and watched two programs about God's amazing Creation. Today, I helped out in the kitchen at our home school group's high school graduation (congrats grads!). Tomorrow will be filled with church and a bridal shower. Phew! The weekend may be hectic, but it's also full of fun. :)

Yesterday evening, my Mom and I shared with our fellowship group some verses about our Creator, God, and what He has made . Do you have any favorite scriptures on that topic? Here's a passage to start with:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing
was made that was made."
~John 1:1-3

We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the broken hearted. We also encourage young people as well as adults from the West to come to Mumbai on a short / long term missions trip to work with us in the slums of Mumbai during their summer/ Christmas vacation. We would love to have you come to Mumbai with your friends to work with us during your summer/ Christmas vacation. I am sure you will have a life changing experience. 1. Diwakar, thank you for the encouragement and giving me this information. I do not feel that God has for me to go to Mumbai right at this time, but I hope that your ministry will be blessed.
