Coastal Creation // Outdoor Look

   Come off the beaten path with me today. Instead of a traditional outfit post, I will be sharing some scenic photos as well as an outdoorsy outfit I wore. Take a breath of fresh air!

   For part of my mom's birthday celebration, my parents and I went on a drive southward of our own hometown. We drove out to an area of beautiful rolling farmland and seaside vistas. Once we came to a certain trailhead, we stopped and went on a short hike. After trying not to slide on the muddy trail (I had a near miss) we came to a grassy precipice where we had a wide view of the ocean. It was a lovely outing, and a great one to have taken my camera on.

Outfit Details: Tank ~Target; Blouse ~ Thrift or Consignment Store; Cardigan (not pictured) ~ Thrift Store; Jeans ~ Thrift or Consignment Store; Shoes ~ ?

  Because we were going to be outside, possibly in cold weather, I wore jeans yesterday afternoon.  A floral tunic-style blouse went over these, along with a gray tank and pink cardigan (covered by jacket) that I had been wearing earlier in the day. A leather jacket kept me warm, while beat-up pink sneakers were a color-coordinated and casual shoe choice. It ended up being a good outfit for dodging mud while still being photo-ready.

   Blog friends, here's a little  life update to catch you up like I would face-to-face friends. Due to the office I was working in becoming over-staffed and me being the least-qualified/experienced person, I now only work there on a fill-in basis. Yesterday I had an interview at an employment agency to get help finding a more permanent position. Though working less, I've been keeping quite busy, and have been enjoying some good friend time. There are good things about both working and not working. :)

   Have you been able to get out in the fresh air lately?
What interesting new things are going on in your life?

 Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!

  4. I am glad that you have been keeping busy even with less work. It's so important to find breaks from work and realize that even if you are not making money, there are ways we can be productive. Investing in friendships is one of the best ways to spend time!

    I love this outfit, by the way. I love the rose-print top with the jacket and denim. It is the perfect combination of whimsical and casual outdoor adventuring. Also, the photography is breathtaking!

    You make me want to come visit the eastern coast now...which I haven't seen since I was too young to remember. ;)

  6. I love your lovely feminine but casual outfit. I like to wear a tunic when wearing trousers in public to maintain modesty.
