Day One of 1 Button-Down | 3 Days | 3 Ways

Greetings! In case you hadn't inferred the fact from post title (I doubt not your intelligence), today is the first day of the Button-Down challenge! For this event, I have chosen a new favorite shirt of mine. The purple and brown striped button-down by J. Crew was bought from a consignment store for $7. Not only does it have a lovely, classic cut, but it is also comfortable. :)

Today I styled the shirt by taking Mom's suggestion and wearing it over a long, green dress. I thought it would look best tied on, rather buttoned. Since it's still a little chilly outside, I'm wearing my boots.  My sole accessory is a sparkly necklace which picks up on the cool tones of the outfit. There we have it!
Lately, I've enjoyed combining classic and boho style, which this outfit is an ideal example of. What about you - do you enjoy combining these two styles? Would you wear an outfit similar to mine?

Shirt ~ Consignment Store; Dress ~ Thrifted (?); T-shirt ~ Thrifted (?); Boots ~ Bought new at Ross; Necklace ~ Gift

Have a blessed day, and stop by again tomorrow to see the next outfit. :) Also, be sure to see what a some of the event hostesses are wearing at Boyer Family Singers.

"O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is they name in all the earth! who has set thy
glory above the heavens."

  4. Pretty! I like it that you didn't button the shirt all the way up and then tie it--makes the button-down seem all the more versatile!
